Melo did have a terrible game though. One thing that was missing was the destroying partnership of Melo - Sissoko. Melo didn't even rock up, and the challenges he did make were terrible. He gave the ball away several times too and it exposed out shaky defense yet again.

If we had controlled the ball more and shut down Napoli's attacks we wouldn't even be complaining about how shit our back four is right now. Grosso was slow and not desperate enough and Grygera didn't give anything in defense, I saw Datolo running down our right side with Grygera slowly chasing meters behind. He could have walked it right into the box if he liked. But even so, Datolo should never have received that pass into space and that has to do with the defensive effort and desperation of our midfield, namely Melo and Poulsen but also the whole team who just weren't running back.
Melo on his own (i.e without mommo) looks terrible and that was shown this morning. He seems always seems to run around aimlessly and leaving his position when he is supposed to be the cover infront of the defense. But we see him running forward and leaving a gap when we are 2-0 up. He has been very disappointing and that pisses me off because we brought him here to upgrade over the crap we have. Poulsen playing an average game is expected but we expect Melo to play better. Gargano killed him off just like the palermo duo a few weeks back.

Grygera was having such a good first half ( one of his best this season) both defensively and offensively and then he goes and destroys everything but shutting down in the second. If he can't keep up with datolo just defend deep ffs.

And this Tiago fella...He is in the same level as Molinaro right now. At least moli could take and make a tackle and clear a ball.

ok look peeps...i think ur squad lacks depth!

we found a superb formation, which is 4-2-3-1. BUT, in this formation, SISSOKO and MELO must not be injured because none of our other DMs can do that dirty job, (maybe marchisio can). AND also our trio, DIEGO, CAMO, GIO, if two of them are injured, we have NO other 2 players that can step in and complete the trio.

This shows how fragile and lacking in depth Juventus is right now.....

we have too much useless midfielder....poulson and tiago...sell one of them and buy an attacking midfielder that is willing to rotate with camoranesi..perhaps quag from udinese...

Pandev is our "only" hope if we're really going to continue playing the 4-2-3-1 formation. The guy would be available in january and i think if we paid 4-5 millions to lazio they would do business with us.

what kind of fuckin' :gsol: depth :gsol: are you expecting when DP, Iaquinta, Zebina, Sissoko, Marchisio and Salihamidzic are injured? add to that Amauri going down with a fever...that is SEVEN 1st team players, and at least 4 100% starters...show me one club that can have that kind of injury crisis and not suffer?

indeed, Momo's absence was a huge setback...I thought Melo Poulsen would suffice, but Melo played his worst game for Juve yesterday, so we wer always gonna suffer

I hate this business of staying up until 6am to see such horror unfold before my stoned, drunk, heavily fatigued eyes and literally watch my spirit drain out of my vision...into the smiles on Lavezzi and co's faces.

Buffon-6.5. No real chance on any of the three goals.

Goblin- 4. Brilliant cross for Trez's header, and did push forward as best he could, but once Camp left the fray, he was a liability when pushing forward, and when he was forced to try defend against quicker, more versatile players.

Canna-5. I didnt think he was as poor as come have made out...especially as I can only give his partner at the back...Chiellini...a 5.5.
Neither did much right or horribly wrong, and those culpable for the capitulation in the second half, were in front of them.

Grosso. 5. More solid than his counterpart on the right flank, but still...the 'more solid than grygera' label is hardly an mark of glory.

Melo. 5. Disappointing. Haphazard spirit and determination. too many misplaced passes. Did not cover enough ground.

Poulsen. 5.5. Outshone, at least in terms of efficiency, Melo, but still, lacking talent, and it shows that were momo and Marchiso fit, poulsen would be behind them both in the pecking order.

Gio-5.5 Should have scored in the first 20 seconds. Trued hard, looked as lively as any of our offensive players, but sadly lacked penetration, or options when he did create good positions for himself.

diego 6. Kept the ball well, but was playing far too deep to cause damage further up the field. huffed and puffed, and i very much like his capacity to keep hold of the ball. Only Camo has a similar tendency, and Gio when he is happier. obviously we expect a lot for 25m, but at least he is getting fitter, by the game, and more adjusted to our team and the league in general.

camo 7- looked wicked before he was forced off. Like he was up for the game and in the same rich form he showed against samp.

Trez.6. took his goal well, and found a few decent spaces, but lacked the support after Camo left and Tiago became a ghost on the right flank.

Tiago. 3. Wretched. but not exactly his fault when asked to perform a role as familiar to him as honesty is to Barack Obama.

De Ceglie. 2. We should have sold him in the summer. Too many times I have seen him now play awfully, literally to NOTHING useful. The Marrone lad has shown more guile and usefulness when he has played this season.

Amauri 5. No dice...

More to add later...

Don't laugh, but I'm pretty sure that had Mauro remained things would have looked much different. That woman that replaced Camoranesi, she's no football player.
I agree with you.

This was a key moment, as we were ina great momentum when camo got injured.

Is not solely because of that, but things started to go for napoli after we stopped attacking from that side consistently.

Also big blame on that thiago clerance.
the only one that we really needed was sissoko
It seems we need this guy and macrh so much... because poulsen and melo partnership is a disgrace.

ok first of all...u cant bring iaquinta and del piero into this argument because they are both strikers and we have more than enough strikers if we play 4-2-3-1.

What im talking about is the midfield! ok sissoko and marchisio is injured. So that leaves us with onli Melo to depend on! because both tiago and poulson suck. We should have one more dependable DM. and sell pouls n tiago because they are useless. and the attacking trio.....ok u can argue that del piero may fit into diegos role if called upon (although i doubt it because he cant run as much), that still leaves us with little options if camo/gio is injured/suspended.

what I am having issues with is you saying that the squad sucks and lacks depth, while not looking at the situation at hand...we shouldn't have lost the way we did, hell we shouldn't have lost anyway, but the fact is that Juve is in a crippled state right now

yea ok i really do agree with you....a team like juve should never loose a 2 goal lead and loose the game....i agree with that seriously.

 So many 'fans' willing to kick this team while they're down. Not to mention resort to the usual scapegoats (Ciro and Poulsen).
