He has played something like 4 matches this side of the season and he was very good in two games... He isn't as useless as many of you make him out to be... Considering that he's our 'joker' and is only used to fill in roles, he has done a good job... If I put out a list of people to leave Juve he won't feature in the top 5...

Was it a 4-3-3 in practice? I might be wrong 'cause i don't remember it very well, but i think it was a 4-3-1-2 with Del Piero playing behind Trez and Iaquinta.

The only way this team (this current set of players) to play without width imo is to have 1 man between the midfielders and the strikers.
I thought it was more of a free role up top for the strikers.

But if I'm wrong, and Del Piero did play entirely behind the strikers, then a lot of people here who claim he never performs well there have a bit of answering to do. He didn't have his best game, but he wasn't useless either. He was troublesome.

But what do I know. I fucking drank my liver out that match, even during the afternoon here.

We will crush them 4-0. Ale, Amauri, Legro and Nedved to score. Ranieri to say in post-match comments: "Fuck y'all, I'm the boss" and flick us off!

Seems we have DC back for the Atalanta match.
13 May 2009

De Ceglie expected to recover for Atalanta match.

The session consisted of nearly two hours of training with Salihamidzic and Grgyera present for the first part which consisted of simple athletic work. The defender, should be back with the group tomorrow just like Marchisio who spent today in the gym.

The results of the last radiography tests for Sissoko were positive and thus the midfielder was given the go ahead to intensify the athletic work load. De Ceglie’s conditions put Ranieri’s mind at rest. The defender took part in the whole session on the field. The emergency in the defence for Sunday has therefore somewhat been solved.

The recovery of the defender from Valle D’Aosta is an important one in view of Sunday’s match against Atalanta due to the simultaneous absences of Molinaro and the suspended Chiellini.

In the match against the bergamaschi as well as in the other two against Siena and Lazio, even the weather could be an important variable which may condition the matches. This is why the team is proceeding with intense work in the afternoon even on Thursday and Friday before the morning session on schedule for Saturday.

Grygera is also back with the group

Today’s training session brought good news for Claudio Ranieri, in view of the Sunday match against Atalanta. After Paolo De Ceglie, who yesterday returned to training with his team mates, today it was the turn of Zdenek Grygera to join the group after recovering from a blow to his foot during the match against Milan. Sissoko,Salihamidzic, Marchisio and Ekdal worked separately. The only player who was not on the field was Sebastian Giovinco who was left to rest in order to recover from a blow to his right foot suffered during yesterday’s training session. After a warm-up the team took part in a mini-match under the keen eyes of general manager Jean-Claude Blanc.

guess we're not gonna be short at the back anymore
