This won't happen, but if I had to decide on the starting line-up it would be:
-------------------Storari-------------------
Lichsteiner----Barzagli----Chiellini----De Ceglie/Grosso
---------------Pirlo----Marchisio-------------
---------------------Vidal-------------------
-----Krasic----------Matri--------Vucinic-----
To me, it maximizes the strengths of our players. Despite, Krasic's recent form, he is still our most talented winger and I think in this formation, it would bring the best out of him. Matri MUST start. He is our most reliable goal scorer. Vucinic should play to the left of Matri - be a little closer to him while attacking and try to get De Ceglie down the left wing. Also, Vidal or Marchisio can drift wide every now and then.
Bottom line is.....when you look at our wide players - Pepe, Estigarribia, Krasic, Elia, & Giaccherini - all of these players were bought in the last 2 seasons and none of them are world class (although Krasic can be when he is on form). Giovinco and Pasquato are 2 home grown players that would fulfill the role better than most of the players we already have. In other words, it just isn't a strength. Our strongest areas on the pitch are central midfield where we have players like Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal. We also have pretty decent strikers. Why not just exploit our strength. Our biggest weakness is still defense but there is nothing much we can do about that now until the January transfer window.
