Ugly win!! and i don't care about the result anyway.. but the performance looks so ambiguous and random. am not a pessimistic guy but this performance won't cut it against Dortmund.. and yea Llorente shouldn't play. and god helps us if Pirlo starts.

Ugly win and our terrible form continues. It was sad see us able to hold Atalanta at our home turf in the last 15 minutes where we basically did nothing but foul and clumsy play. The three points are amazing and just what we need ahead of Roma but the past games are nothing but an indication to a disaster in the making for our coming European test. Pirlo with the amount of mistakes he did tonight was still our best player, he did some amazing defensive work early in the second not to mention the gem of a goal that he scored.

Buffon 6.5

Caceres 5.5
Bonucci 6
Chiellini 6
Padoin 5

Marchisio 6
Pirlo 7
Pogba 6
Pereyra 6

Llorente 6.5
Tevez 6

Lichtsteiner 5
Morata 6
Coman N.R

Hard fought win, but its the result that counts.

We are still too wasteful and looking a bit soft at the back. How many times are we going to concede goals like today?

Also, I have never seen a ref so determined to side against us on every even remotely debatable decision, two of their players tackled each other and Tevez got a foul against him!!!

I don't often complain about the refs, but the main ref made many weird calls. And that yellow card to Morata, wtf was that for?

I only saw first half highlights plus the second half but we looked uninterested after the 60 minute mark. Pirlo did some good things which is a good sign especially if my gut is right that he'll be starting for us on Tuesday but he still gave the ball away too easily too often. Tevez and Pogba being the only other two who stood out as playing reasonably well.

I'm hoping that we've been playing like this because the players are pre-occupied with BVB. That's preferable to a general dip in form. We'll take these three points because we didn't really earn them tonight.

lol

Provided great assist for Pogba, few great runs in both halves, did some decent defensive work.
Thought he had a decent game, especially on the counters picking up on flick ons from Tevez.

Definitely has his limitations though, he had a couple of chances to play people in and didn't go for it.

Its good to be able to win ugly as long as its a one time thing and not the beginning of a trend of poor performances that will end in draws or losses.

I still don't understand the game plan under the new formation. It has largely been individuals who are getting us results as far as I can tell with Tevez being the most common, followed by Pogba.

Pirlo was decisive today but only because he scored a long shot that he usually misses from. It has always been mystery to me why he can be the best free kick taker in the world by a mile but suck at long shots in open play. He also created some nice chances that were wasted

Assist is a pass that results in a goal, Pogba did not score = no assist. And that's about everything Pereyra did today. The only defensive work he did was foul an Atalanta player on a counter attack and he got a yellow card for that. His forward play was good, good, almost good. Rinse and repeat.
