It wasn't a good performance but I will definitely take the result regardless. They scored an almost identical goal to Milan, against the run of play from a corner. Giving credit where it is due, a fantastic goal from Pirlo. Having said that, whilst he did some good things, I still think his time is up. His general performance for 90 minutes over the course of the season is just not good enough, despite a few moments of brilliance like his strikes against Olympiakos, Torino and again this match.
On the topic of formation, I would definitely love to see a shift to 4-3-3. I think it will require a few purchases to fill in some holes, mainly defensively. With a good defensive pairing, and a strong central or defensive midfielder, it will provide surety to our defence and a solid foundation to build upon going forward with the attacking talent we possess and most likely will add too. I am thinking Marchisio and potentially Vidal playing in front of the defence, although I can see a purchase of a good midfielder to fill one of these positions. If we can keep hold of him, I would play Pogba behind Tevez with Morata and Coman on the wings, with a long term view to potentially Zaza, Dybala, Berardi etc. slotting into these roles if we end up purchasing them.
