    Mandzukic to lead Juve line
    By Football Italia staff

Mario Mandzukic is expected to start as Juventus’ centre-forward in their match with Atalanta today.

With Gonzalo Higuain ruled out after picking up an injury early in the win over Torino last weekend, Coach Max Allegri is set to move the Croatian into the middle from his usual position on the left.

Paulo Dybala is likely to start on the bench once more as he continues his return to fitness, so Mandzukic will be flanked by Alex Sandro on the left and Douglas Costa on the right in Juve’s 4-3-3 formation.

Elsewhere, captain and goalkeeper Gigi Buffon will come back into the Old Lady’s starting eleven after being among the substitutes for the Derby della Mole victory.

Midfielder Blaise Matuidi is back sooner than initially expected following a thigh injury and is tipped for a return to the line up, replacing Stefano Sturaro who drops to the bench.

Full-back Mattia De Sciglio joins Juve’s already lengthy injury list and will be replaced by Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Juan Cuadrado is still absent as he continues to recover from a groin injury, while Federico Bernardeschi could face surgery on his left knee after going off late last week at the Stadio Olimpico.

Atalanta meanwhile are likely to make changes, given that they were in Europa League action on Thursday and have a Coppa Italia semi-final to plan for against Juve in midweek.

“This time we will mix it up, on Wednesday we will honour the cup,” Coach Gian Piero Gasperini remarked as he gave an indication as to what his immediate priorities are.

Andrea Petagna is missing through injury for La Dea, who are looking to repeat last season's achievement of Europa League qualification.

Probable Line-ups (from Gazzetta dello Sport)

Juventus: Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Rugani, Chiellini, Asamoah, Marchisio, Pjanic, Matuidi, Douglas Costa, Mandzukic, Alex Sandro

Atalanta: Berisha, Toloi, Palomino, Masiello, Castagne, De Roon, Freuler, Spinazzola, Cristante, Ilicic, Cornelius

Good chance to watch Spina and Cristante
