Our inability to break the press for essentially the first 30mins of the game was disturbing. Hellas knew that was key to prevent us from establishing any rhythm from the start. And the bonus of the back 3 w/ Bonucci and Danilol is prone to fvcking up.

IN the 2nd half Danilol trying to freestyle his way out of our own box instead of clearing to alleviate the immediate pressure

Another 2 points thrown away.

We could have scored 4 or 5 goals if you look at the game but as soon as that shit-for-brains gave them the free goal chance it creates panic and desperation. At least we showed more urgency, but it's easy doing that chasing a game. It doesn't matter who the coach is, we will always be that nonchalant team who does this in these fixtures.

Ifs and buts, if our goal stands or one off the bar goes in we win the game by a couple etc, but chasing against a team who like to defend always creates problems.

Thought the ref was the total garbage kind who likes to even things up between a big team and smaller team, you see these in struggling games with a "plucky underdog", and the lack of home fans exacerbates this as there is no crowd pressure, the home team gets frustrated and gets in his ear and it becomes negative, etc. But you can't say he was a decisive factor, he was just shit and let Verona take the piss out of him at times. Nothing kind of ref who tries to avoid all controversies or difficult decisions.

We seem to be trying lots of news things all at once, every new game is something different. I don't think this helps. Dybala had to play today and he went from awful to average, but it's a case of suffering short term to gain longer term. Playing Bernardeschi is another example. Then Ronaldo, De Ligt etc come back and we change again, more settling-in and lack of cohesion.

I think we all knew there would be a settling-in period and some rough times but I'd definitely have liked more points on the board. The games with reds you can excuse but this was a real waste tonight. Literally nothing seemed to go our way.

Oh, and another injury. Oh well, Barcelona next lol.

Dybala was actually really awful. And yeah, he doesn't have any game rhythm but Jezus, if you get the bal lower than Arthur and Rabiot, at least act like you're running forward instead of strolling in the center of the pitch.

It’s tough to say right after a game man, cause we all are just as ripshit angry as you are... but just trying to step back and look at it... we should have 4 wins and a draw, which would do just fine, just dreadful luck, bad decisions in big spots, a wingback who passes the ball to the other team constantly and Berna, who is beyond comment rn.
Agree we haven't had the best of luck...unfortunately others above us are getting the results we are not getting. We just need to be careful the gap doesn't get out of control. One season under allegri saw us drop a lot of points early on and from memory we had to break records to recover and win that scudetto. Don't think anyone wants to be in that position again.

I counted three situations where they won the ball some 30-40 meters from our goal and started a dangerous counter after we made a terrible pass. Once it was Ramsey, once Kulusevski, and once Bernardeschi. The last situation was when we conceded the goal.
I counted at least 3 other situations when a terrible pass ruined our attacks. The last one was Arthur to Rabiot.
The attacking situations were unforced errors on our side and it's a problem with our passing, but the other occasions also had to do with Verona pressing us and our inability to find a way out of it. A midfielder has to get involved more in these situations, the way Pirlo and Pjanic used to do.

Come on we need to give him time we gave Sarri time despite playing shit
I understand what you are saying ,but we didnt have 9/15 with sarri.
Also a draw against probably the worst team in seria A in crotone.
Things are not looking good .
I just hope pirlo doesn't die on the altar of his preferred formation.

When Bentancur plays we have something of an outlet there. Arthur doesn't seem to like being in that position, he wants to be the other player, but Rabiot is also not that. I don't like a midfield two anyway, but our wide and attacking options almost dictate it.

It was always a gamble hiring a manager with zero experience but the management really made the decision to sack Sarri without any replacement in mind which is not the way things are done

well, that was fun...

I know I know @DAiDEViL, Pirlo... but I have to say that in the first half, the way Paulo and Ramsey gave the ball away so cheap plus the usual bad level of our MF and Berna; it was almost impossible to do anything positive
