I dont expect a win here. We’ll probably play for a positive draw and conserve energy but lose 0-1 at the end

My cynicism tells me if things go wrong Max will pin it on Miretti and he’ll be the only one to lose his spot next game.

But at least he started him so that’s a start I guess. He did the the obvious. High five.

How does a player like Gatti ever make the step up to being a regular if he can't play in his natural position over a full back or a terrible, weak, slow and error prone Rugani for fucks sake

If we had a young Chiellini now he'd get 5 minute sub apps when we're 3-0 down
I understand not playing him tonight. But I think he should have played vs. Samp so you can at least evaluate him a little. Of course, he never plays against the minnows then how can you evaluate if he's ready for Roma? It's so dumb

Rabiot to walk backwards after losing the ball on the counter, Sandro to accidentally blast it into our own goal and Miretti to be called a useless cunt in the post match presser

Yeah I'd give him "easy" games before but because we can't even do that we end up never using these players at all. It's so short sighted

Is Gatti good with the ball at his feet? If he isn’t it may have something to do with that. Bremer is a beast defensively, but his ballplaying skills are a bit lacking.

Regardless hopefully we see him getting time against the smaller sides over the next couple months. If we arrive at winter break and he hasn’t played more than a handful of minutes, that would be really disappointing.

I honestly couldn't tell you tbh. I'll let you know when we sell him for peanuts to a team that plays him :(

so sick of seeing Danilo taking minutes away from younger players while playing out of position. Two seasons ago it was Fagioli. Last season it was Miretti. This year it looks like it’ll be Gatti. It’s not that I don’t think he can play CB in a four man backline, but that’s not his fucking position.

Spot on. Based on the games in pre-season Gatti didn't seem very comfortable on the ball. Bremer and Rugani were very indecisive with their passing last game, the former even seemed nervous after a few misplaced balls early on. We need someone who can distribute the ball from the back otherwise we won't be able to get out our own half yet again.
