Also the freekick foul was 5 meters from edge of box, but he says needs to be taken 10 meters from box lol. Was bizzare.
plus this:

overall some terrible refereeing.

zero excuses for our wasteful shooting though. mckennie should have headed home that ball in the opening minutes and it's a completely different match then.

the lack of identity is still worrying. i don't expect anything to change this season.

That was very confusing. It made me think I had missed something myself.

Meh, I'm sure some players are frustrated with De Ligt as well.

Unlike most people, I actually thought this was not a bad game from us, all things considered.
I think we started really well, but the Napoli goal destroyed us. Especially since we gifted it to them, for no apparent reason. We did manage to get back into the game however, and I think that's a pretty big positive.
The lack of goals scored remains worrying, but it does feel like we're improving. On the other hand, maybe I'm just kidding myself.

Sure, it would be nice to win games like these, but the squad is what it is.
What more to expect when we have sandro and rugani in the defence really soft goal to concede and mckennie missing a header from point blank range.Really frustating to watch the casual attitude of some players and it is a no suprise that whenever we concede first we dont win.

Defensively we were very solid again, barely conceded any good opportunities to them. I don't think it was even a question of effort this time, we simply lack the quality to make things happen in the final third. Chiesa and Dybala coming back in to the team should to some degree help with that.

 my exact take on the game as well.

We’ve played a lot worse and won. Especially the recent games against Cagliari, Genoa and Salernitana.

We pretty much conceded on the only clear chance we allowed Napoli all game. Our options upfront are beyond terrible right now.

Agreed, we still managed to gift Napoli a goal tho.

Main concern for this team right now imo is the offensive patterns, our dreadful mids and the lack of quality up top. Allegri will sort out the defence, and arguably it has already improved a lot. Im not that worried about our defence.

But relying upon Dybala and Chiesa to bail us out every game is a plan doomed to fail. Someone else has to step up at some point.

or we are not clinical enough mckennie header and kean header in final minutes are sort of chances that we miss.

Juve results against the top four
Napoli 2-1 Juventus
Juventus 1-1 Milan
Inter 1-1 Juventus
Juventus 0-1 Atalanta
Juventus 1-1 Napoli
3/15 points, zero wins, despite playing 3 games at home, and leading vs napoli and milan. we never scored 2, and zero clean sheets. completely unacceptable, each of these facts.

Missed match but phone “timeline” said both of these headers were sitters. I know some here stated CR7 had plenty of sitter goals but this team can’t even put them in the net. Frustrating!

The approach to these big games feels very similar to stretches of Allegri’s first tenure.

High press and intensity for the first 15 minutes to get the crowd up (at home) and suffocate the opponent before they can get a foothold. Then play in short bursts if necessary for the remainder depending on the score line.

The key difference is that before we often scored 1-2 goals in those opening 15 minutes and we do it less often this season (still did in the first Milan and Napoli game).
And second we just don’t have the players in the middle and at full back to control the tempo of the game once we have exerted those high intensity spells because there are too many players scared/incapable of collecting the ball or showing for it.

The effort was there last night, the quality in the middle of the park and the final third however isn’t and is unlikely to be for the remainder of the season with our personnel so all we can hope for is to accumulate enough points for a top 4 finish by continually trying to win 1-0.
It’s not progressive football but it’s the depressing reality.

The market is open now isnt it? Now its the time for our CF - we need to conclude one fast if we want to be in the CL next season.

Mckennie should have scored, but the match probably would have still ended in a draw since we would have sat back and played like shit as usual.

Mckennie should defenitely scored. But Kean's was barely even half a chance. He is contested by 2 defenders, in a awkward high ball, and he just does anything he can to connect with it.

We barely created shit this match, but Mckennie and Morata wide shot only real good chances we could have scored on.
