With the players we have available and the ones we have that are actually performing I see us doing well with a 4321....hopefuly sissoko has 70 mins in his legs.

I say we try it....diego and Gio behind trez with gio pushing into the left SS slot at times. Same midfield and same defense hopefully with cannavaro. That way we have plenty of creativity if either gio or diego get man marked out of the game. One might, but definitely not both.

Gio and diego both attract at least 2 defenders, that is inevitably going to open up space for the other, or our striker or one of our mids or wingbacks pushing forward. That would really cause chaos to the viola mid/defense.

That doesn't make Amauri a poor or even an average player. He is a very good forward. But you cannot compare any players to Del Piero. His vision and football talent and mentality are beyond any current player.

but 4-2-3-1 its ok formation too from my point of view...sissoko is definetely help melo to improve and this two giant will do a lot to help of our defence problem and let diego camo and gio focus to serve amauri/trez/Ia.
