We were in a horrible run of form last time we played Milan.

The average prediction for that game was probably a 3-0 loss, but we got a 1-1 draw.

Juve always ups it for the big games.

I doubt we even remember how to "up it for the big games" anymore. Even back in our disastrous 1998-1999 campaign after DP got injured, we managed to reach the semis of the CL and played some beautiful football along the way; in Serie A, our defence was leaking goals, but at least our midfield and attack were functional, we were able to play the ball around and maintain possession.

This is the most pathetic Juve I have ever seen; we are so bad, it has me longing for the "Ranieri Days." :scared:

You know that a 6-1 mauling at home will not occur when folks here start mentioning the possibility of one occurring. It reminds me of folks like that Christian radio broadcaster who came out to say an atomic bomb was planted under Washington DC and that it would explode on November 21st, 2009. :rolleyes2

I would guess he won't start.

I think he only played tonight because Pato and Seedorf were both missing, but they should be back for this game.

I believe Beckham will be playing; he may even start this game.

The Inter game was a one off Red; we played with heart and guts, but it was still a somewhat unconvincing performance, as Inter had more chances and more of the possession.

I never stated that a 6-1 mauling is on the cards; I was merely insinuating that if there ever was a time for one, now is the perfect opportunity to Milan to exact their revenge. Having said that, I still believe we are going to lose this game 1-3.

A one off?

Juve have a brilliant record against the other big teams since Serie B, despite consistently struggling against weaker sides.

I don't see that this season is going to be different.

I am not disagreeing that we have had a positive set of results against the big teams since our return from Serie B. However, this season, despite dispatching of both Roma and Inter, I sense that this game is different.

We have had this prolonged run of bad form since early November; however, the true "crisis" commenced following the Inter game, and I believe we have yet to see the end of it.

Maybe.

Anyway, just by the law of averages, we are probably due to lose against Milan since we haven't for five years or so.
