to many wasteful crosses.... i thought candreva's runs in the first half were good.... but idk about playing candreva diego and del piero together.... i think all three of them tried to create chances but got shut down today....
when candreva went forward it felt like he pushed diego and dp to wide to really do anything so all we had was a lonely trezeguet getting no service.... i saw 6 defenders play in our line up today from canna to zebina... i dont think its the right time nor the right formation to play with 2 side back defenders as a right and left mid winger... but we can't really do much with all these injuries

The problem with moving from our current 3412 and 4312 back to a 442, is that we unless we include Diego as a second striker, or pushed high up the field behind a target man, either Trez, or Iquinta, or Amauri, we are going to be lightweight in the middle, and also leaving out of the starting XI a quality CM and striker.
Though, I do like the idea of a Gio, Melo(Marchiso/Momo), Diego, Camo midfield...
Or, we could make more sense and try a Gio, Melo, Marchiso/Momo, Camo midfield with Diego playing just off a target man.
Its nothing new to repeat how flimsy we are on the flanks, both defensively and offensively. Yet we have two players who could massively improve the flanks both defensively and offensively.

A mild positive to take from the result is that Zach held up his hands after and admitted we were poor...'couldnt hurt a fly'. Perhaps fatigue has played its part. This is especially likely to be a problem when we see such a horrible lack of steam in our team as a whole, very little determined, pacy running...and also, when you consider our injuries. Physically, we have been fucked all season. Its no excuse, but perhaps Zach has some more ideas about improving our fitness, rather than just selecting players who appear fresher and fitter...
Ciro had far less of a clue as to why we were poor. Zach seems to have better vision on the matter, but whether he can rectify our woes, remains to be seen.

Like I said in the match thread, Palermo had done their homework perfectly. They knew we have no width and we are vulnerable to counter-attacks so they just crowded the mid of their own half and relied to score on counters. Unfortunately I don't see what we can do about it since Camo and Gio are out and they are the only ones in our team that are capable of producing the width. I still have my doubts over Zac using them even if they were fit though 
It looks like we are going to miss the CL next year and I don't see what's going to be different next year unless we invest heavily in the summer for bringing width (quality wingers/fullbacks) and also hopefully changing the coach to someone who is comfotable with playing wingers...

My gravest concern is that when fit, rather than allow us to try the 442, Zach will use Camo or Gio, not both, to take Diego's role, and give the little man a breather. Still, that would be better than trying NOTHING new I suppose.
What are the current return dates for Gio and Camo and Iaquinta?

I've been this a few weeks ago and got blasted for saying it. This team need a huge clearout, we need speed, more creativity, a clinical finisher and most importantly the defense. Juventus have always built our strong teams from defense up, this team is horrendous defensively and mediocre offensively.
Looking at Gigi's body language I won't even blame him if he leaves because he deserves much better than this. 4 years remove from calciopoli and we seem to get worse by the year, I don't think Gigi signed up for this.

I feel for Gigi big time... I would have no issues if he wants to leave because our defence is in shambles... He doesnt deserve it

The problem with Juventus is that we just rely too heavily on Del Piero. That's it. If he has an uncharacteristic day in which he plays poorly, we don't stand a good chance out there. This has been going on since during the Capello era and I honestly think that this is our major problem. It might not appear that it is from the way we take the field considering the team isn't really built around him, but it might as well be. The only time we seem to score more than one goal is when Ale is on the pitch and the play runs through him. Without him on the pitch or when he struggles, good luck in getting a second or third, and at times even one.
Del Piero saved our asses COUNTLESS times under Ranieri. If we pulled Del Piero out of the team for those two seasons, I bet you we wouldn't have finished in the top four. That's how important it is that he is on the pitch. And that's why I think Ranieri, Ferrara and Zacherroni are all under the same boat of being shite managers. Ciro wasn't able to field Del Piero for most of his tenure here, so that is the one excuse he has. Ranieri lived on Alex showing up and he did, yet Ciro didn't have that sort of security.
For us to become a good side, we need to find a way to perform without Del Piero. We better do it quickly because I can't see Alex saving our asses for more than another season. It's imperative that we find a manager who can get the side to attack and defend cohesively as a unit and break away from the notion that "less of a performance is more". Just face it -- you look like shit, you're eventually going to get shit results.

I will lose some respect for Buffon if he leaves. Professional players must know that some times a team goes through rough patches. If he wants to leave just because he wants to bandwagon on a winning team like Inter so be it, but even though Buffon is legendary in my eyes I will lose some respect for him.

This is a stressing result. We lost at home by our direct competitor for 4th spot,, This is really a ruined chances to get away from them. Look at the standings table make me scary. I think we are 5th by now, right? Because we have worse head to head against Napoli.
Our next schedule is pretty hard too. We must play against Fio, Inter, Milan, Napoli away.. I am start to pessimist about we get 4th spot now. I think we need a miracle..
