Complete opposite of an Allegri match, overall I actually hated it as much as it was amateurish, but the comeback was amazing so it's left a good feeling. Amongst the mediocrity you can always tell something about a team in difficult moments.

I feel like Motta is trying too many things at once, being stubborn and a bit of a hipster in his selections, so I'd be amazed if we were consistent enough to genuinely challenge for the scudetto this season. By the time we settle for something resembling a coherent squad we'll probably have too much ground to make up, but the team needs to look like it is a scudetto team at least in the last 3-4 months of the season to give us genuine optimism over the coming seasons.
Our scudetto challenge ended the moment Bremer got injured.

It's very unrealistic to see this team with all sorts of problems at the back posing any sort of a title challenge.

I'll take a top 3/4 finish and build from there.

What i know for sure now is that Cabal need to always start, either on the left or even in central defense, he reads the game quite well and has a good pass with speed to support. Cambiaso should play further up, either in midfield or as a wingback, he is too adventurous to be at the back 4.
Danilo is done, reckless, slow, doesnt even offer any danger in offensive set pieces anymore. Fagioli should never ever start if Thuram is healthy, Loca Thuram Mckennie in the middle would have been so much better and could probably have stopped that Miki goal from happening.
Chico is one hell of a winger, he has it all to make it to the highest level, if there were better attacking support from mids, he could wreak more havoc all day.

Next game we need to start Gatti Kalulu Cabal Savona back 4
Thuram Cambiaso Mckennie in the middle Chico Yildiz on the wings and Dusan

Fino alla fine and Fuck intermerda

Based on opportunities Inter deserved to win
Grit - Inter deserved to win
But If you consider what that counts - Inter received 2 gifts.
Conceicao is a one man army.
Yildiz did well even if he got a sitter wrong.

Fagioli worst on the field.
what? 2 goals down away from home against your biggest rivals, surely you have to give that in favor of Juve here.

It's hard to say, if we get someone like Skriniar and everyone else is healthy then we still can challenge them. In football you never know.

1. I was entertained, first time I actually believed that we could get a result even when going down
2. We showed a lot of heart and desire, especially against Inter at their home
3. Individual errors cost us but I'm excited for when Bremer, Koopmeiners, and Pogba (?) return because we could be a beastly team
4. Motta gets big respect for changing our mentality and getting a big reaction from the CL loss

Everything okay but Pogba in 2024? :barza:

We might be too far behind by then. Our defense is a disaster with Danilo. Not sure Gati improves our backline that much. We lost worldclass defender for the season and our recent woeful performance in defense is directly related to it. Its a big blow for scudetto hopes.

Sure there was some comical defending and a number of errors, but after 3 years of truly miserable football and nothing but calma, I’m happy to see desire and hunger from the manager and players with a clear gameplan in possession of the ball. Motta punches the likes of Gatti and Thuram and firing them up before they came on may seem like a small thing but it’s a far cry from what we’ve had since Conte.

My 4 year old sat through a full game for the first time.

There will be a ceiling with the backline we have sans Bremer, on what we can achieve this season, but at least we are on an upward trajectory and have something to try and continually build on.

Alessandro DelPiero : “After being down 4-2, Inter created 5-6 clear chances and on more then one of those chances they could’ve made it 5-2, that’s a regret for Inter. DiGregorio was a superhero on some of them” (@SkySport)
