Completely outplayed but we are such cowards from the get go. We didn't even pose that many threats. The only players that deserve good ratings would be Bremer and Tek. Honorable mention Wes.

Shit team. Shit coach. Shit management.

Another scudetto-less year, another season where we have failed to meet our objective. With no end in sight to this torture and no sign of our spineless management showing the guts to kick this fraud of a coach to the curb, you can expect more mediocrity for years to come.

Only one goal loss (should have been higher) on an own goal. We fought but Inter is by far a better team. We need a new midfield to compete and from that new midfield more variety in possession. Too many poor decisions today though for me to be "OK" with this result.
I wrote earlier that I expected a loss and this was expected. Not happy about it but... we needed more luck and concentration. Vlahovic's first touch and we would have scored. Kostic throwing away cross after cross. We keep looking at the ball too much. As soon as opponents swap possessions we loose 'em. Yildiz's misplaced passes wasn't all on him, teammates moved strangely. Gatti, as always, win some loose some. Lost his marking several times but made critical stops too.
Finally, when no one wants to try and beat their man we can't win against bigger teams. How many successful dribbles did we have today?

Team is playing for a CL spot with almost to none signings. The fact that it looked like we might fight for the scudetto does not mean we fail for not making it.

That’s it for the Scudetto hopes i guess, this type of cowardly tactics and questionable quality of many players were bound to not get us too far when it matters most, we saw a huge gap in both the quality of certain individuals but also in approach between the two teams tonight, even poor refereeing aside they were clearly the better overall team, we lacked ideas and precision both on the pitch but also outside of it, didn’t even dare to try out a more attacking formation despite down by a goal since the first half, chasing the game and still being totally outplayed for the majority of it, seemed like we had no plan B at all.

It sure is frustrating.

Let's face it did anyone think we would win the scudetto? We have overachiever this season with these shit tactics and average players. The opportunity was there and after a stupid red last week followed up by a wimp type performance has effectively detailed the season.

Read the post above yours. Yeah some people really fooled themselves. But if we end up giving a new contest to Allegri it would mean management is on the same level.

Completely outplayed and outfought by a superior team. But with a bit of courage we could have taken something off them tonight. Putrid approach to the first half. And really, did Sommer have a big save to make all game? Frustrating stuff from the coach and the mentality he drills into the payers before these big games. And also frustrating to see how technically limited a lot of our players are.

-7 from Inter, +14 from 5th place assuming they win their games in hand… this team not good enough so nothing more to see of this team this season :sergio: unless maybe play Vlahovic-Chiesa-Yildiz together

Coppa Italia is perhaps the main and most important thing still worth looking forward to at this stage..

Although i’m not exactly buzzing with optimism on that front either.

Every season that goes by without a scudetto is a failure. If 4th place is your benchmark, go support Atalanta.

I’m not convinced about bashing Allegri on this one. The few moments we even tried to go toe to toe with them we looked frenetic, misplaced simple passes, got hit on the break and looked gassed.
He tried to switch to a more offensive 4-4-2 in the second half but it was fruitless and so he decided against bringing Iling onto the left and pulling Rabbit into the middle (the actual changes made probably ended up being worse).

The disparity in fitness levels and quality in the final third is evident. Our players looked spent in the final 15 and the few times we got into good areas the final ball was often poor.

This game is on the players, nobody walks out with a pass mark except Bremer (who was immense), Tek and Chiesa.

I stand by saying his mistake was resting players such as Danilo and Yildiz against Empoli. We are not good enough to rotate and win games, so it sent the wrong message. With our current squad, we can’t underestimate teams and should’ve treated it like a knock out tie, to get to the next round.

Expected loss. We played okayish in certain periods, had some chances but in general inter were a better side. The lack of quality in some areas is difficult to overcome. Gatti, for all his heart and grit, will always be a mediocre player. Locatelli, sadly, isnt good enough for opponents like these. Surprised by McKennie, some scintillating runs tonight. Moving on to the next game.
