Just like after the Dortmund game, the same question remains: what's the point of VAR?
I guess we will hear more in the next days, but I am pretty sure that VAR did call the ref for the review, and he was the one who refused.
He rushed to give a yellow to the Verona player, which means that he saw there was a foul. VAR can't force a review. If the ref listens to the recommendation but believes he saw the incident clearly and correctly, he may refuse to go to the monitor.
At least I hope this is what happened, because if VAR did not even call the ref for a review, that's definitely the most scandalous decision in a Juve match since VAR was introduced. Even worse than that disallowed goal (Bonucci). The most clear red card ever.

taking away a last minute winner is the ultimate wrong decision

More so if it’s for a non existent offside, i mean if it’s a foul or other kind of controversy you can put it down to interpretation or bias, but when it’s a offside it should be the easiest and most non biased call to depict with VAR, however in our case the goal wasn’t even cancelled initially but then VAR intervened and called a non existent offside by drawing the line at the wrong last defender, it was an outrageously bad call.

There needs to be a Call a coach can make on VAR like its in the NBA or in Tennis. Its not Okay the Ref to chose whenever he wants to watch and most of the time chosing to not Watch obvious things.
Been saying this. Each coach gets two reviews. If they use if and they were right they get it back. If they use both and neither was a foul they have to deal with it.

Maybe it's also time to accept that in a country as partisan as Italy you can't have neutral VAR assistants.

Maybe each team gets a guy to argue their case to the 5th official who makes the final call?

Tudor criticized the ref on 2 occasions and the ref is expected to be dropped to Serie B.
Penalty decision - It seems legit to me
Red Card - VAR should have definitely intervened, it wasnt an attempt or something unintentional, he looked and then he blasted him with the elbow. Definitely a red

On the Juve level though it doesnt matter - We should be able to beat Verona..

Another thing Conceicao was the only good player on the field yet he chose to sub him? WTF was that

- - - Updated - - -

Yap definitely intentional.
Can he be suspended by video evidence? Im pretty sure he will

Considering that Conceicao just returned from an injury i think he didn’t yet have 90mins in his legs and Tudor probably chose not to risk him further.

Cambiaso shouldn’t be a measuring stick, that cunt is one of the laziest footballers we’ve ever had.
He literally ran the most km from our squad

Ref is a fucking cunt but we were lucky to get a point here.
Every team can have off games, but we still shouldve won. A ghost penalty and a red card for the mvp of the match are enough reasons to rob as from a bad win

Yes dropped to Serie B for a few games, then comes back no doubt will be handed another Juve game before this season is out, same BS, rinse and repeat, nothing changes.

I know, but I am still prepared to believe their story that they didn't even see Candreva near the corner flag and were only focused on the group in the box. As terrible a decision as it was, and one that should have gotten them all fired, I am willing to accept that there wasn't any malice. Even we as spectators couldn't spot Candreva, even after multiple replays with the footage we were given.

This shit yesterday was just unbelievable. There is no way they could have missed it. Even if the ref refused to check again, VAR should have told him he was making a huge huge mistake and that he absolutely had to review the incident. If they did and he still refused, then he should be sent down to serie D for the rest of his career. If they didn't, they should join him in serie D.

I really do wonder if the league’s disciplinary committee will review the incident and retroactively suspend the prick for a few games for violent conduct with clear unsportsmanlike intentions, that’s the most blatant red card i’ve ever seen ignored by VAR.
Let's all remember that Kalulu and Yildiz got reds for much less. The handball was bullshit as well, his arm wasn't in an unnatural position and he was blindsided by the missed headed. Ridiculous really. It's not only that though, they refuse to book players against us. It allows shit fouls all game which disrupts our rhythm. That guy that looks like an Indian Salt Bae should've gotten about 4 yellows. Ridiculous. For us however, yellow straight away. It completely conditions the game.

Ratings of the referee Rapuano in #VeronaJuve:

Tuttosport – 5
The handball of #JoãoMário says it all: why exaggerate a minor infringement into a penalty? The most inconceivable mistake remains #Orban's blow to #Gatti's face, not seen and not sanctioned. The cameras increase, but the referees' eyesight is getting worse.

Corriere dello Sport – 5
Poor performance. Even worse for the one at the VAR, Aureliano: pedantic and meticulous about a questionable handball (for a penalty that is practicality a gift), but inert on an evident violent conduct, especially when seen on TV. The result is a messy, disjointed game, full of incidents that weren't always called correctly.

Gazzetta dello Sport – 4.5
He accumulated mistakes: corners and free kicks disappeared. And he often disrupted the game by positioning himself poorly.

so according to gds grades it should have ended 3-0 despite them getting an extremely soft penalty and orban, their man of the match, deserved a red

awesome reporting
