❗️ Luca Marelli to 'DAZN': "The penalty? The arm is not punishable in this situation. #JoaoMario doesn't know where the ball is, he even closed his eyes. I don't agree with the referee's decision. The movement was towards the body and not away. This is a fully unexpected ball. Contact between #Orban and #Gatti? #Orban never looked at the ball, the feeling is that he was aiming for the face. Why hasn't the VAR called for review? Because the blow was not directed to the face, perhaps, or if it was with an open hand or a closed fist but there are still a lot of doubts".

The linesman is looking straight at it too. Disgusting decision.

This whole game was bullshit

You don't win titles with guys like Kelly, Gatti, Koop, Di Gregorio and Locatelli getting significant minutes.

Joao Mario was dreadful too but too early to judge him.

Far too many individual mistakes are costing us.
Hence why I keep saying we badly need a new CB , CM, RB and GK

The linesman seems to be looking somewhere else tbh and only has a glimpse at it very late on, but anyway that shouldn’t even matter because VAR should have called it right away but for some reason ignored it.

True, when I first watched it I seen him watching Gatti fall but I didn't realize he was looking elsewhere when the elbow landed.

didn't see the game. i open twitter, the first thing i see is this: the guy who should have been sent out for a 100% red card worthy elbow on gatti gets the player of the match award

truly dystopian shit right here, the audacity of this league lol

also congrats to @.zero for the perfect juan-juan prediction

There needs to be a Call a coach can make on VAR like its in the NBA or in Tennis. Its not Okay the Ref to chose whenever he wants to watch and most of the time chosing to not Watch obvious things.
Yeah giving teams 3 reviews per game sounds like a good idea to me. It will slow down the game, sure, but will prevent incidents like this happening.

Didn’t even bother with the highlights yet, but I sure as hell saw the red card Verona should’ve gotten. Tell me how that isn’t a red, but Kalulu’s against Lazio last year was? VAR reviewing in Juve’s favour is basically a myth at this point. Serie A keeps proving it’s a washed, dead league with zero consistency.

i missed the penalty incident live, and maybe I don’t understand the rules anymore, but how can you give a penalty for that so decisively? Did the ref even go to the screen? And that’s even without mentioning the blatant red card incident.

this league has been fucking us in plain sight ever since VAR was introduced. Winning masks it, but it’s one of the reasons I’ve lost interest in the sport over last 5 years (besides us sucking).

A red? The dude should have been arrested for assault and carted off in handcuffs to prison.

I really do wonder if the league’s disciplinary committee will review the incident and retroactively suspend the prick for a few games for violent conduct with clear unsportsmanlike intentions, that’s the most blatant red card i’ve ever seen ignored by VAR.
