Finished watching the game.

This was never going to be a "pretty" game but jesus christ how many chances on goal are we going to blow before we finally score?

And how many shots did we balloon everywhere but on goal today?

If we were more clinical in front of goal we wouldn't even need to worry about Roma this season. We are creating the chances but we aren't fucking scoring.

The micro-machine Giovinco should be above Llorente in the pecking order now. As much slack as Gio gets, he at least makes tricky work for defenders and makes the goalie work and gains fouls in good positions for us (granted it isn't much but its more than Ferando does)

Llorente

Even something like this makes more sense at this point. It may work, it may not work, but at least it would shake up the team a bit.

Buffon

Lichtsteiner - Ogbonna - Chiellini - Evra

Pereyra - Pogba - Vidal

Morata - Tevez - Giovinco

Gio has been so unlucky not to score, he is certainly doing the right things. As frustrating as he is he is doing more for the team than you know who. Llorente even brings Tevez down a few levels.

We don't need 11 physical players though imo. It's like having 5 defenders, why does every player need to have the same characteristics?
I'm not saying we need everybody to be strong and aggressive but his tiny stature makes him a liability at times, one that can't be fixed.

I'd be fine with starting him for now but it's not much of a solution.

Furthermore, as annoying as Gio is to many people here, he at least busts his ass and works hard trailing, tracking, pulling, you name it he tries as many tricks as he can that's up his sleeve. Unfortunate none have led to a goal though. :D

TBH we should be more creative, much more but if you read the forums and do not watch the game one might think we didn't even go near the 16 meters, but in reality with just a little luck we could have won the match.

And as I said earlier, we deserved the 3 points tonight much more than when we won there last season, but such is football.

I'd still like to see him in a 4-3-3 or a 4-3-2-1 first. I myself am only 5'6", you can still be short and get the job done. :D

What did Genoa do?

They got behind our defence and put the ball in the net

What did Juve do? We failed to put the ball in the net and we let them get behind us and score

Luck is absolute nonsense unless you concede a ridiculously flukey double deflected goal from a corner and you hit the post 7 times in 10 minutes.
