Pirlo cannot defend, lately he makes me feel like he does not understand what the word defence means.. his age and nonchalant style seem to be the reason. It's sad.. But we're faster without him.. buffon's net is less likely to be reached when Marchisio plays in front of the defensive trio.. Very sad.. Truth is that Marchisio is much more mobile and really sacrifices himself as a deep lying "playmaker" (which is in truth a DM).
As of late, i prefer marchisio's short passes and defensive stability than Pirlo´s risky long balls and zero defending from his part.
