I knew in the 64th minute that our mid-table loser mentality coach DUMB Neri was going for the draw when he subbed out Iaquinta instead of the completely USELESS Quags

This guy, who would have been a bench-warmer at Napoli this season had he decided to stay had ZERO tactical sense, and cannot pass or shoot the ball. What did he do out there today besides lose the ball and take weak shots from 25-30 yards out ?? Then he chokes on a breakaway....

His biggest crime today, IMO, is when we have a 3 on 2 break, and he has all the space to charge forward with the ball in Inter's end, and he decides to play "hot potato" and get rid of the ball, and passes it to a coverd player (cant remember who, tbh) and Inter gets the ball back. Simple football 101, boys and girls..

When DUMB Neri pulled IQ for DP, instead of Quags, I knew that he didnt want the 3 points. IQ wasnt at his best today, but his 50% trumps Quags 110% any day of the week. Bringing in Momo for Aquilani in the 80th minute confirmed my suspicions.....

We could have won this game...we should have won the game.

A few mistakes by Bonucci in the back could have cost us (especially when he left Milito wide open), but even though our fullbacks are poor at best, and offer nothing coming forward, they held their own today. We'll probably see them get toasted by a team like Chievo, so lets not get too excited

I liked Aquilani, and its nice to see that the anti-depressant pills are working for Melo.

The falied experiment from last season that had Marchisio on the left wing may have slowed Maicon, but Marchisio offered almost nothing coming forward. It wasnt too hard to figure out that most of our attacks would be coming from the right side, with Krasic leading the line. I thought he played pretty well today, but he was way overworked in our one dimensional attacking scheme.

DP should have replaced the useless Quags, and it should have happened at halftime...maybe we would have 2 more points right now

i can't believe some of you guys take on quag insted of iq who wasted our 1st half chances because of his stupid positioning..+quag was once caught offside but izaghi's momma had twins at birth: fillipo and vicenzo

Going for the draw, was the best thing Del Neri did. A draw is an extremely good result for Juventus.
after plenty of goals against us, this is positive sign since man city the defense looks so much better and the team playing as unit, goals will come sooner or later but building from the defense is the best option. and we had numerous chances so nothing to complain about :)

Agreed.

I thought Quags was trying and hustling more than Iaquinta.

Marchisio was purely on the wing to serve as a speed bump in face of Maicon. So I think it's fair not to criticise the coach seeing as this worked splendidly.
In fact the whole midfield was on song tonight and at certain points we were running the show.
It's a great result for us considering we played a match in which we didn't concede against a superior opponent who at times did test us heavily.
If we had a milito in our team we would have probably won.
But all in all I'm very happy.

Felipe Courtinho was really poor for inter, he added nothing for them whatsoever. Benitez really screwed up by not hooking him for even a player like Mariga who would have helped inter in midfield.

Finally i got time to watch my first live match of the season. :)

A good and competitive game played by both team.

To be honest, i would like a win considering the injury crisis at Inter. I contented with the result though, as we play away and on paper Inter are a lot stronger than us.

Based on the result of last 3 matches, our defense has improved a lot with less goal conceded each match and finally act as an unit, even though it's still not flawless. A clean sheet is always welcome!

At the moment the CM pair of Aquilani and Melo is the best for 4-4-2 IMO or we can play 4-3-3 with Del Piero behind the striker when on possesion and De Ceglie overlap.

Motta / Grygera - Bonucci - Chiellini - De Ceglie / Grygera
Melo - Aquilani - Marchisio
Krasic - Iaquinta / Amauri - Del Piero / Quagliarella

Rating:

Storari 6.5 Big save on the free kick whipped in by Sneijder

Grygera 6 As expect sound defensive but offer nothing on attack.

Chiellini 7.5 Great as usual. :weee:

Bonucci 6.5 Solid and take Coutinho out when needed but let his concentration off for once with the only clear cut chance Militi got and luckily he choked. :)

De Ceglie 6.5 Very good performance by him consider his usual standard but screwed up on the offside trap at the end of first half.

Krasic 7 Good first half, should have at least 1 assist if Iaquinta stay onside. Look tired on second half though, fortunately international break arrive at the right timing.

Aquilani 6.5 Played a good game, love all the first-touch passes his made when he's under pressure.

Melo 7 Hold our midfield together and i didn't noticed any mistake from him that's a plus. :)

Marchisio 7 Tactical discipline and contain Maicon well and play a nice through ball for Quagliarella.

Iaquinta 5.5 Wasteful in front of goal, made his runs too early and undecisive but must give credit for all his hard-work and get in to the dangerous position even though there's no end product.

Quagliarella 6.5 Constantly harass Inter defence made life easy for our midfield and link up pretty well when attack. The downside are failed to bury the one on one set-up by Marchisio and rush his passes on first half when we on the break.

Sub:
Motta 6 Held his own very well against Eto'o, didn't made any costly mistake and support the attack when needed but need to work on his cross. He is improving hopefully the clean sheet we earned tonight will give him confidence.

Del Piero 6 Hold up the ball and draw fouls when we under pressure but Capitano was pretty selfish tonight.

Sissoko N/A He need to do the simple thing, protect our defense and most importanly PASS the ball to others and don't dribble around or act as a playmaker cause we always know the outcome when he did that :boh: he'll lost the ball or made a bad pass. I really appreciated his defensive work though.

Del Neri 6.5 Outsmarted Benitez in first half. He seem to set-up the team for counter-attack with Iaquinta and Quagliarella made run through wing and instruct Aquilani play long ball down the flank but sometime this was frustrating. Made good subs even though at the end he's content with a draw and fixed the defense as well.

That's my 2 cent. :scarf:

DP is not as selfish as Quag - DP always gives away a nice pass on the counters when players are in position - cases in point he gave the pass to Krasic for Marchisio's goal on the counter - today he put Quag through on goal - where's the selfishness in that?
you are talking as if del piero had a choice of running at a defender when we have a counter attack. del piero is too slow to outrun a defender after a feint so its naturall that he HAS to pass the ball to someone that is actually able to run. if he did not pass the counter attack would come to an halt because the defenders easily catch up with him
