Anything but Iaq-Amauri would be fine to me.
Serie A only

Del Piero-Quagliarella 266 minutes - 6 goals (1 goal in 44 minutes)
Iaquinta-Amauri 109 minutes- 5 goals (1 goal in 21 minutes)
Iaquinta-Quagliarella 37 minutes - 1 goal (1 goal in 37 minutes)
Del Piero-Amauri 11 minutes - 0 goals
Del Piero-Amauri-Iaquinta 15 minutes - 0 goals
Del Piero-Quagliarella-Iaquinta 12 minutes - 0 goals

Playing both Iaquinta and Amauri is like playing two same players there.
Not really. Their movement is very different.

Amauri looks to play with his back to goal and link the play.

Iaquinta spends most of the game looking to run in behind defence.

Inter defenders are pretty fast, you don't hit them back with fast legs, you hit them back technique, vision and smart play. ;)
I agree.

I posted something similar yesterday and concluded that I probably wouldn't start Iaquinta in this game.

I mean the team, not those two. The same for Quag-DP partnership. They scored only 2 (both Quag), but when that partnership played we scored 6 goals as a team.

Anyway, the point is not to ignore that partnership so easily. We did it before the Cagliari match and we said how the team must have one of Quag/DP playing and yet we ended up scoring 4 goals and we had a couple of very good chances (One was unmissable by Iaquinta :sergio:).

Even if on first glance it definitely looks like a terrible partnership, lets see how it will work now that we have wingers who make crosses.

You are basing all that on only one game (where we scored four goals) even though it was all Krasic. We seemed bad in attack and both Amauri and Iaq had a bad night.

I meant with the ball at their feet, it's like having the same players. Both of them lack vision and both of them would love to play the roles of a finishers instead of opening up spaces, passing etc...

I think we need the likes of Dp or Quag at least alongside of course the likes of Krasic. More creativity better chance.

    That applies to Iaquinta.

Amauri, though not creative, wants to be involved in the game. I wish he spent more time in goal scoring positions.

I would certainly be starting with either Del Piero or Quagliarella alongside Amauri, if they are all fit enough to start.

The last loss for Inter on their stadium was by Juve in March 2008.

43 matches is the current record for Inter. That is the number of the matches they did not lose since March 2008 in Serie A in their stadium.

Since losing to Bari five of Juve's six games have gone over 2.5 goals. Including their European qualifiers the Old lady have scored first in four of their five away matches so far.

Early goals haven't been the norm in recent years with the last four Serie A games at San Siro between them all being goalless at half-time. All 13 goals in the last four meetings in Milan in Serie A between Inter and Juventus have come in the second half.

That would be 5 new starters compared to the City match. Last year we couldn't allow doing so many changes simply because we didn't have the players for that and we always had 6,7,8 injuries.

Don't want to jinx the new medical team and the new coaches, but so far it's a good job :xfinger:
