I am in the middle of this Lampard vs. Andy debate. We were not terrible today but controlling possession in midfield does not mean you control the game. I hate to admit yet Zambro is looking pretty tempting for a summer signing. If we signed Zambro, Barzagli, Flamini and VDV that would cure alot of our current problems. I really hope Juventus pursue Flamini. Despite not being so great for Arsenal today he is one of the most underrated players around. Fabregas gets all the credit yet without Flamini Arsenal would not be having such a great season. If nedved retires it might be good to get a new winger yet i doubt we will have the dough and Marchionni is vastly underrated so he could serve as an okay winger.
This looks like a good lineup to me:
-----------------Buffon
Zambro--Leggro---Barzagli---Chiellini

----------------Flamini

-Camoranesi----------Marchionni(if nedved retires)

----------------VDV

---------Del pie---Trezeguet

For the love of God, I dont know where to start with this rant

Maybe, we should start with the "friendly" we had on wednesday, where we were embarassed by a 12th rate Maltese team that no one off that island's ever heard of...

Its time to pull no punches.....

RUINeri should be fired IMMEDIATELY....its so painfully obvious that this son of a bitch has no clue. He may have whipped these guys into shape, but he obviously doesnt have a clue when it comes to tactics or skills training for our guys...we lool like a bunch of fools out there, playing in an amateur league. And as Andy already stated, his substitutions made no sense, and in Iaquinta's case, too late. I am also sick and tired of this idiots pep talks to the media...maybe he should go into public speaking, because coaching isnt one of his strengths

I have been saying since the beginning of the season that this team has no identity, we just seem to have quick flashes of quality, and it has been enough to win some games, but we still have a whole half of the season yet, and if we keep up like this, we will end up finishing in 5th or 6th place, guaranteed !! We cannot always rely on an aging star to win games for us...it wont work

Which brings me to the topic of our management, or lack thereof. Their claim to fame is keeping the old guard in place, but what else have they done ?? We have wasted too much money on just slightly better than average players, and are about to drop one slug in favor of another (Sissoko for Tiago). They loan out Criscito without bringing in another CB (and we all know that Legro will be injured again in a short matter of time...then what ?) Does anyone here miss Moggi, because I sure as hell do, when it comes to getting the RIGHT players.

And speaking of players, lets talk about our friend Tiago. I have finally found a word to describe him as a football player- PUSSY !! He belongs in Spain or somewhere else, where he wont have to worry about being run over....I havent seen a professional player so weak in all my years of watching football.

As far as the game goes, we looked like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off out there, we had no fucking gameplan, and were out -muscled and out -hustled for the entire first half. We can blame both Molinaro and Legro for the goal that Catania scored...Spinesi should have never been so wide open

For almost the entire second half, Catania sat back and let us come to them, in almost comical attacking. Guys, ANY other decent team would have kept attacking our weak defense in search of a second goal. If I had a dollar for every bad cross I saw our players make today, I would be able to take out the entire forum for drinks !! I guess thats another skill RUINeri isnt having our players arent working on in practice...

We were saved total embarassment by a bad refereeing decision, it was NOT a penalty !!

Players that should be shown the door-

Tiago- see above

Molinaro- he cant defend, and is only effective coming forward when there's not an opposing player within 20 yards. Then, he has to stop the ball, focus 100% effort on looking down at the ball before crossing, and then hope for the best. Ever see him try to cross the ball while running, without focusing on the ball ?? Misses every time !! I CAN CROSS THE BALL BETTER....SIGN ME UP !!!

Brazzo- another slug who cant cross the ball...but the good news for us is that he can play multiple positions poorly. Do you think Bayern misses him ?

Marchionni- so much promise, but nothing more that a Serie B squad player at best

Almiron and Bumsong are also on that list, for obvious reasons

Nedved was our best player today, IMO...and after hearing that this guy actually trained alone on Christmas, how can you not love this guy ???

No one can do it better than the special one;)
I actually think Mourinho to juve would be an awful mistake. He demands a massive salary which will hurt our current financial salary. He will probably make our players unhappy and our players spirit has been so important this season. After being at Chelsea and having a billion dollar budget he will get frustrated without having financial backing to buy who or what he wants.
