He struggled with injuries in 03/04.

He was good in 04/05 as you said.

He was good again in 05/06, scoring more goals than Zlatan even though Zlatan played more.

He was good in 06/07.

You made the 5 year comment before this season started so don't even think about bringing up this year, which is only 2 games long so far. That's just retarded.

Where are the 5 years? Where are they? He was bad in 98-99 and 99-00. That is it.
First off, you're taking the "5 year" comment way out of context. I wasn't chalking up some sort of statistic board I was just outlining the fact that DP isn't the god that everyone seems to still think he is anymore. Even in games where he does score goals, the guy is starting to remind me of 05/06 zlatan, holding onto the ball for eternity until our entire attack is inevitably nullified.

But if you insist on numbers:

Well 98/99, 99/00, and 03/04 are 3 definite ones. 05/06 he scored goals, but he played so incredibly selfishly half the time that he was hurting the team. There's 4 years there.

With the money we had (obviously doesn't apply post-calciopoli) we could've picked up a much more efficient striker. Clearly DP is a club symbol and we rely on that, but I'm sick of seeing everyone rate him 8 after every match for some bullshit reason. (Hasn't happened so much lately, but it certainly has in the past)

Anyways, we both support the same club so why bother fighting about it. At least you don't consider me an inter fan

It's not as if he offered anything particularly constructive, either.

Buffon saved our asses today, as did Camo. Let's hope today was just a reflection of the hot sardegna summer weather...or else we're in for a Vinman-Style ass-pounding.

NUMBERS are not football. You can't value someone's presence on the field just by statistics, numbers of passes or shots on goall.. How will you value the fact that he always is danger to opponent and the defence have to think about him all the time... so don't bother to find some numbers against our Idol. Idol means "unseen force" and some FORCE it is :)

That's what I just said?

Number's aren't football. DP puts up points regularly. He has good numbers.

He does lead the team well, there's no doubting that. But in terms of contribution to our attack, he's too bloody selfish. He gets the ball and keeps it at his feet far too long. Zidane knew when to release the ball, DP doesn't. That naturally makes sense as DP is a striker, but he hasn't got the pace (for this, only a few do, a la Henry) to keep the ball at his feet while maintaining the effective-quickness of our attack. He would do the team wonders if he would let go of the ball sooner. There's a reason you have 10 other players with you on the field, and they aren't there just to tap it in after you've dribbled 6 defenders.

And about worrying defenses...nobody scared defenses more than the 6'5 pacy zlatan ibrahimovic, but you all insist he was absolutely useless in 05/06... which he more or less was. Any talented striker should have defenses worrying about him, that doesn't make you a god.

Chxta hasn't done anything wrong.
I don't mean ban Chxta, I meant move his thread (wouldn't effect anyone else) and confine the guy you just banned to only being allowed to read that. He will kill himself within a week.

Ok, I watched the whole match, so here's some player ratings:

Buffon: 7.5 Desperately unlucky not to save first penalty, no chance with the second. He kept us in it with his other saves. The volley he clawed out from 4 yards is one of his best ever saves. He did well to calm down our volatile defence who may have gang-attacked the ref.

Chiellini: 7 Best in our defence today. Rarely mistimes a tackle, good in the air and with the ball at his feet. Got the goal and was living every moment with his heart. Needs to keep control of his temper.

Criscito: 5 He is good at ground tackles but in the air and general positioning he is always caught. Hoepfully he will gain this with experience.

Andrade: 5.5 Not his best game, let foggia and matri get in behind too much. Still a calming presence though.

Legro: 6 Was looking great until he gave away the penalty needlessly.

Zebina: 6 Great passion and so good with the ball at his feet. First 60 mins i thought he was one of our better players, which isnt saying much. Again, his temper was too volatile.

Brazzo: 5 His effort is always good and he has energy. but he always goes for that ainless long ball. Needs to ground pass it more.

Almiron: 4 Nowhere today, i barely knew he was there.

Zanetti: 6.5 Made some key interceptions and saved us a few times in the midfield. Some rash challenges though but it was a testing day.

Camoranesi: 10 I'm sorry if you think this is too high. But what mroe can a man do?? He had half an hour and he set up all 3 goals. Committed, our paciest player, great touches and holding up the ball. Exceptional delivery for the 2nd and 3rd goal. The 2nd out of nothing. Welcome back Camo, we've missed you.

Nedved: 6 The same effort he always puts in. He was buzzing and trying to get involved in everything. His crosses and passing was sometimes poor though, and his shooting threat is dying. I wish he would cut inside and show us more Neddy classics.

Del Piero: 5.5 Got the goal but otherwise was not there for me today. Slowed everything up in our attack, poor delivery, and lost the ball too much.

Trezeguet: 7 He did everything he could today. He was even coming back for the ball and passing to other to keep it moving. He was there once again to punce and was always on the move. He is our greatest threat, no one can see him coming. A great effort.

Ranieri: 4 He was forced into bringing Camo on due to Brazzo's injury, and his only other sub was Nocerino in the 86th minute. The team wa slosing their heads out there and he was passive. No Tiago, no palladino, nothing from ranieri to help.

Overal, a great win though. I cannot believe we have 3 points here. We were arguing, fighting, losing penalties, the ref was against us. We looked clueless. But we scored 3 times and won the match. When you play bad and still win, it shows you really have what it takes. Don't be too harsh on the squad guys, a win is a win, no matter how.

Okk some of our players need anger managements(Zebina!)if we had a draw or lost the game ,we had to blame ourself for the bad display, it just wasn't our game, looked like every touch went wrong and tbh our goals well lets say we got lucky because Cagliari were putting us in the defensive more times then we did to him, but i'm happy we have 3 points. We need too become more secure in the defence otherwise i don't know how long we can keep playing like this, soon we play the bigg teams and we have to be ready for them and i have faith we will.
Forza Juve!
