Grande Juventus! At this point in a season of failure and dissappointments I don't care how we play as long as we win and get the 4th CL spot. After this season we can see what went wrong and try to improve our chances of winning the scudetto next season. We need Lippi or my prefered choice Prandelli who will play the youth and some attractive football.

I'm not saying the defence is perfect, what I am saying is that the defence has improved over the last few games.

We are still a long, long way away from being able to win a match 1-0.

man, you guys are really mad... even lippi would NOT get our defense to do that, because we are simply lacking players that are good enough to do that (without huge help from the midfield) ... so how can "conceding goals" be a watermark to judge the coach if it is technically very improbable to get our current players to achieve this...

and when ferrara was still here everybody was bitching about how we could not create and score goals ... now we are scoring (and scoring more often than the opponent=>winning) and now you guys find the next thing to be the worst since hitler and totally unacceptable ...

Our defence is a huge problem, there is no question there, I cant even remember the last time we kept a clean sheet (except Napoli coppa game). We've conceded in pretty much every game going back to the end of october and that is going to hit everyone's confidence for 6. What i'm saying is you cant expect Zac to change things overnight, 1st of all thats pretty much impossible, and 2ndly he's not a good enough manager anyway. I think the defence has taken steps forward. I'm not saying the defence is amaizng and that Zac is a miracle worker, but I am saying there have been improvements, even if they are only slight. The biggest issue with this defence is confidence, and its a slow process to get that back, after such a long period of being absolutely spanked.

It goes down to this. Either Zac made us more organized and we are better on the ball and conceding less chances (because that is what organized means, I believe). Or we are conceding the same amount of chances, but we look better on the ball, which means, that the players' confidence is (for some reason) higher, yet we still have abysmal tactics and strategy, which is Zac's fault. You either make a team more organized and it shows both when attacking and defending, or you don't, which might indicate, that our improvement in passing is due to higher confidence.

The way I see it, we concede just as many chances, but are lucky not to concede goals. That means that Zac didn't make us organized, the team simply has more confidence (which I believe is due to us picking up some points) and it shows in the offensive part of our game.

To clarify things, I'm not claiming it's Zac's fault. Grygera, Grosso and Zebina are terrible, Legro is having an off season once again, Cannavaro is super slow, Caceres and De Ceglie lack the experience to defend properly (and maybe even the talent, but I'll give them the benefit of a doubt). Add to the fact that we do not have a regista to hold the ball long enough to relieve pressure from our defence and you will see, that we are bound to concede chances. No matter what tactic or formation the coach uses, we still will have spaces at the back, and those spaces will be exploited. With a defence like that, there is no way for us to be more organized, we simply have to score more goals than we concede.

It's ridiculous. Before each and every game the majority of posters complains about "the idiotic line-up" the coach makes yet we keep on winning. Through the game the majority of posters complains about the subs, yet Candreva scores the winner and we keep on winning. Even after the game when we've gained three points majority of posters says that we played bad and it was all luck, yet we keep on winning in the next game. Admit it, Zaccheroni has proved most of you wrong. Now have some faith and support for the guy and our team please. They need it.

The quality of play is still dodgy at best. We've gotten lucky breaks. We were outplayed in Amsterdam. We got a controversial penalty against Genoa. Not saying that isn't an improvement over Ferrara, but Zac's in a honeymoon period just as Ferrara was when he took over for Ranieri.

Have we quickly forgotten this?

Results are essential. But this team still plays as it did when we barely scraped by a win against Parma a month ago. Until that changes, we are still no better than a mid-table team. More importantly: we still play like one.

I'm more than happy to give Zac the chance to turn things around in the coming weeks. But I am not about to start proclaiming that the crisis is over, Zac is our savior, and this team is ready to take on Europe. Way too much to prove down the road still, and I am not convinced at all by anything but the recent change in scoreline yet.

I agree! I'm sick watching Juve play 2nd fiddle to the worst of teams. As I mention I just want the 4th CL spot at this moment and I can't wait for this season to finish because this was not what I expected.

i did not say with one word that we do "play" good football.

all i am sick of is this prejudice (pointed towards zaccheroni) that everything is still bad and people trying to find strange explanatian why the better result are not due to the coaches experience (in contrast to ciros inexperience). hell, they would even come up and say the aliens are responsible for the change of form before they would admit it has something to do with the changed coaching staff.

the funny thing is, that it might not even have to do with fixed opinions about some coaches, but more with the immaturity of people here that does NOT allow them to admit that they were wrong.

right now the explanation that the coaching staff is doing good work is more sensible than some logic mentioned here like "perhaps this, and perhaps that, perhaps diego found a treasure under the end of a rainbow and that boost his confindence and amauri did sleep with buffons wife so he has better confidence too".

we will only begin to realize who really deserves the credit for the results in perhaps one month time, because then we might see an even bigger signature of the coaches work (or not ... you never know).

but until proven guilty, i proclaim innocent !

its pretty much like the italian media, where moggi and everybody around juventus was already guilty without one single court hearing the witnesses. they will claim every day of the year "juve are guilty" and if they court decides juve are not guilty, they will just not report it. thats the easiest way for them to hide that they were wrong the whole time.

than you should have driven to turin and killed ferrara before he gets the chance to fuck up all ... its not like zaccheroni is responsible for that. he just tries to fix as much as he can do with the limited players and his limited ability he has.

the team was in two classes above what ferrara made them, when ranieri left and you can't tell me it is because nedved left
