After Atalanta it's:-

11/1/09 - Siena (H)
18/1/09 - Lazio (A)
25/1/09 - Fiorentina (H)
28/1/09 - Udinese (A)
1/2/09 - Cagliari (H)

Of the 18 available points, realistically, what do believe is the minimum we should accept as acceptable in order to maintain our scudetto challenge?

I'd say 14 at the very least.

I agree with the 14 point assessment. Milan is crippled by injuries, but Inter is still going strong. Mourinho always seems to do just enough to win each game. :(

We can't miss too many points against these three (Lazio, Fiorentina and Udinese).

These will be Inters matches when we face

Week 19
Lazio vs Juventus
Atalanta vs Inter

Week 20
Juventus vs Fiorentina
Inter vs Sampdoria

Week 21
Udinese vs Juventus
Catania vs Inter

We obviously have tougher matches than them. But They don't have easy matches at all thats for sure...therefore I really hope we collect as much as we can.

Juve top fan League table Channel 4

Wednesday 17 December, 2008

A survey in the peninsula has found that Juventus are by far and away the best supported side in Serie A.

The Old Lady have traditionally been the most popular club in Italy and the Calciopoli crisis hasn't made any dent on their fan-base.

According to a study undertaken during last summer by the Nielsen Institute Italia, Juve have almost double the number of fans of their closest rivals Inter.

Milan follow closely in third with nearly six million supporters before a sizeable gap to Napoli and Roma.

Unsurprisingly, Veronese minnows Chievo have the fewest fans with a meagre 4,800 stressing their allegiance to the Flying Donkeys.

Nielsen Italia's Serie A rankings in full:

1. Juventus (10,040,000 fans)
2. Inter (5,928,000)
3. Milan (5,818,000)
4. Napoli (2,887,000)
5. Roma (2,493,000)
6. Fiorentina (2,080,000)
7. Lazio (1,791,000)
8. Palermo (1,470,000)
9. Torino (1,153,000)
10. Genoa (1,030,000)
11. Bologna (871,000)
12. Catania (649,000)
13. Sampdoria (585,000)
14. Cagliari (312,000)
15. Udinese (298,000)
16. Reggina (176,000)
17. Atalanta (119,000)
18. Lecce (105,000)
19. Siena (38,500)
20. Chievo (4,800)

but we knew this anyway ;)

how the hell do inter have more fans than Milan?? They have shit all italians in there. As an Italian it would be hard to support them.

Was thinking the same. This winter, or the next summer, will be the best time to sell Iaquinta. (before he turns 30)
Vincenzo is the only player we don't really need and that can still bring a lot of cash to our budget.

Trez is going to be the other prima punta and with Giovinco well capable of playing SS, Iaquinta will be nothing more but a very expensive 5th choice striker.
The job of being a 5th striker can be done by some much cheaper player (Zalayeta for example).

The money we'll get from Iaquinta can be invested much more smartly in different area, or we could make a direct swap deal with another club.

I have nothing against keeping him here. I love the guy. But he'll only suffer at the bench and i predict that he'll ask for a transfer sooner or later. If we wait too much his price will drop and we may lose millions due to not conducting business fast enough.
Agreed, you basically typed up what I was thinking

Did we sell David Lanzafame jus outta interest?
