lads give ranieri a break. this is a limited juve side and he is getting the best possible out of them. our defense are no world beaters but ranieri has them organised and we have one of the best defensive records in the league.

our midfield without camo is lacking creativity as nedved has struggled this season bar against palermo and in the first hour tonight hope he will keep up this form.

our attacks particularlly trez who is in the form of his live but we are unable to create enough chances for them.

hope camo nedved palladino and marchionni all stay fit and tiago gets a chance as these are the creative players we need to continue our battle for the scudetto.

ranieri has done all that can be asked of him. and if we can continue on a good run between now and january with us having played all the top teams we can pick up a lot of points.

our next matches are atalanta lazio siena catania and sampdoria and livorno and that takes us up to feburary.

so we should be in quite a good position and hopefully close the gap on inter we should be able to attract a few quality players in jan.

now lets hope the viola can play for prandelli and stun inter

Juventus draws 0-0 with AC Milan in Serie A

MILAN, Italy (AP) - Juventus missed a chance to join Inter Milan at the top of the Serie A standings Saturday after drawing 0-0 with AC Milan.
The result was also disappointing for Milan, which is without a league win at San Siro this season.
Earlier, Claudio Bellucci scored twice to help Sampdoria beat 10-man Reggina 3-0.
Inter,
which plays at fifth-place Fiorentina on Sunday, leads the Serie A with 28 points, followed by Juventus with 26, and AS Roma and Udinese with 25. Milan has 18 points.
In a tense first half, Juve went closest to scoring in the 12th minute when Cristiano Zanetti picked out David Trezeguet on the right but the striker hit the post with a fierce shot from inside the area.
In the second half, both goalkeepers kept their teams in the match.
Milan's Dida made a brilliant dive to his right to deny Hasan Salihamidzic in the 48th, while Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon somehow stopped Kaka's shot from close range in the 50th.
Rossoneri striker Alberto Gilardino tapped in after Buffon parried Kaka's effort but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Dida and Buffon saved free kicks in the final half hour, and Buffon blocked a powerful shot by substitute Filippo Inzaghi in the 70th.
Milan has now drawn five times and lost twice at home this season.
The result also meant Juventus, which spent last season in the second division for its role in the Italian match-fixing scandal, still hasn't beaten one of its old rivals for the Serie A title.
Juventus drew 1-1 with Inter earlier this month and drew 2-2 with Roma in September.
No Juventus fans were allowed to attend the game under new anti-violence measures.

A very dull game it looked like one of Zidane friends vs. Ronaldo friends. There was no spirit and everything looked like a huge charity game full of hugs and friendly smiles (except Gattuso).

I had feeling that we can win this, especially in the first half, Milan were tottaly absent from the game like they are already in Japan. But also we look at the game from neutral position we could loose the game easily too. To be fair a draw is most realistic result of tonight's game and like I said it was to friendly. I would take one point from San Siro at any other day but tonight I felt we could win but lack of spirit ruined it.

Sell tiago because we are obviously not going to use him.
Absolutely.

Great game, thrilling to the last minute. A draw was the fair result for both teams even though I wanted us to win today... I am still satisfied. We made the european champions sweat their asses off on home soil. I have to say good all-round performance for everyone, excellent work from Ranieri although I did think the Palladino and Marchionni substitutions were unnecessary and slowed us down a bit esp. Palladino because he tends to dribble too much. He cant seem to understand that there is a difference between Albinoleffe or Reggina and Milan. Marchionni didnt find the space he was hoping for, Brazzo was doing an excellent job I dont know why he was taken off.

Nocerino played a sensational game. The Scottish commentator made a legitimate point saying how mature a player Nocerino is esp. considering he was up against 2 of the best in the game, 10 years his senior and still managed to keep them at bay and even push them back at times. Molinaro also played a really good game, I thought he'd be our loophole if Kaka' leans to the right but he's also maturing very quickly and adjusting to the Juve mentality.

I have to say, Ranieri deserves a lot of credit for the way some of these players are developing. He has done an excellent job in that respect, and I never worry about a formation before games anymore because I know Ranieri will make the right choices and that is a good sign.
You won't fit well here if you keep praising the coach:shifty:

Milan 0 - 0 Juventus

Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

Only the frame of the goal and some fantastic goalkeeping ensured the big game Milan-Juventus ended in a stalemate.

These two sides dominated Serie A in the 1990s, but this was a head-to-head battle to stay in the Scudetto race, especially for a Milan outfit that had not won a single domestic game at San Siro this season. Ronaldo, Marek Jankulovski, Mauro Camoranesi and Zdenek Grygera were sidelined and Claudio Ranieri surprisingly chose to drop Alessandro Del Piero.

It was immediately a very aggressive and fast-paced game. Vincenzo Iaquinta chested down the ball for David Trezeguet to drill wide, but the move was stopped for an incorrect offside flag.

Trezeguet went even closer on 11 minutes, as Cristiano Zanetti won back the ball in midfield and placed the searching pass over the defence for the Frenchman's volley to smack against the base of the near post.

Gigi Buffon slapped a corner kick off Kakha Kaladze's head at the back post, then Clarence Seedorf toe-poked the ball inches past the upright. Nelson Dida smothered a Zanetti volley and Kaladze required a perfectly-timed intervention to prevent Iaquinta going clear on goal.

Alberto Gilardino was halted for a very tight offside flag and Nicola Legrottaglie was booked for stopping a Kaka counter. Buffon got down well to block an Andrea Pirlo snapshot that bounced just in front of the goalkeeper.

Cristian Molinaro did extremely well to take Pirlo's long pass off Kaka's feet in the D, then Pavel Nedved cut back past Kaladze with a dummy and slipped as he pulled the trigger from 10 yards. Alessandro Nesta had penalty appeals for a Jonathan Zebina embrace, but Trezeguet's first-time pass set Nedved free and Serginho nodded out for a corner before Iaquinta could pounce.

Straight after the restart Juventus had perhaps their best chance so far. Hasan Salihamidzic skipped past Serginho with some wonderful footwork, his fierce rising strike bringing a brilliant one-handed save out of Dida. The move continued and Nedved's follow-up was charged down.

Moments later Buffon was also called into a fantastic reaction save with his shin from Kaka's volley. Gilardino put the loose ball into the net, but he was flagged offside.

Gilardino was furious when he just failed to get on the end of Kaka's cross, as he felt he was held back by Legrottaglie as the two came sliding in to the six-yard box.

Dida got down well to capture a touched-on Iaquinta free kick, while Buffon had difficulty spilling a Pirlo set-piece and grabbing it at the second attempt after it had looped into the air. Molinaro exchanged passes with Nedved, but the taut cross flashed across the face of goal with Iaquinta and Trezeguet unable to get the final touch.

Carlo Ancelotti went for experience, introducing Pippo Inzaghi and Paolo Maldini for Gilardino and the disappointing Serginho. Zebina slipped and almost left Kaka clear on goal before Legrottaglie cleaned up.

Kaka turned between three defenders and had his shot charged down by Legrottaglie. Inzaghi showed he can still ride the offside flag as his powerful effort was parried by Buffon at point-blank range.

Ranieri also made a double substitution with Del Piero and Marco Marchionni on for Salihamidzic and Iaquinta. Nesta intercepted a pass just before Del Piero could bury it, then veteran Maldini skipped between two defenders for Seedorf's cross-shot.

Maldini was almost the unlikely match-winner in the final minute, his strike whistling over the bar from the edge of the box.

In stoppages Massimo Ambrosini rolled a ball across the box for Inzaghi, but Buffon stood his ground and managed to use his legs to shield the goal.

A minute later it was Legrottaglie's turn to charge down a Kaka curler from the edge of the penalty area.

Milan: Dida; Oddo (Bonera 78), Nesta, Kaladze, Serginho (Maldini 63); Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf, Kaka; Gilardino (Inzaghi 63)

Juventus: Buffon; Zebina, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Salihamidzic (Marchionni 71), Nocerino, Zanetti; Nedved (Palladino 81); Trezeguet, Iaquinta (Del Piero 71)

Milan And Juventus In Exciting San Siro Draw
AC Milan 0-0 Juventus

There were chances galore for both sides in this exciting game at San Siro, but ultimately no goals as Milan and Juventus were forced to settle for a goalless draw...

Juventus came out of the blocks on fire, immediately putting Milan on the back foot. They had their first chance five minutes in as Molinaro found Iaquinta, who chested it down for Trezeguet, but the Frenchman fired inches wide.

He had another chance in the 11th minute, turning superbly before beating Dida, only to be denied by the post.

Having been handed a couple of early reprieves, Milan began to settle down, but Juve had been sent out with clear instructions to blank Kaka out of the game, and did just that.

Seedorf was also largely absent at the start of the game, meaning that Milan's attack lacked bite.

Gilardino came close with a long range effort after being picked out by Serginho, but Buffon had it covered.

At the other end, Nedved tried to split Nesta and Oddo and fell to the ground but the referee had none of it and waved the play on. Kaka was caught offside as he tried to sneak behind the Juventus defence on the break.

Milan grew into the game in the final ten minuted of the half, but once again failed to fashion clear cut chances despite Pirlo and Seedorf each testing Buffon from long range.

Juventus started the second half much like the first, immediately putting Milan on the back foot again.

A fabulous run up the right from Salihamidzic saw him set up Trezeguet, who let rip a cracking effort that Dida palmed away. Nadved came charging in for the rebound, but Oddo put in a brilliantly timed tackle to deny him.

Dida was down clutching his shoulder, but recovered to continue after two minutes.

There was immediately a chance at the other end as Kaka had an acrobatic effort from eight yards out parried by Buffon. Gilardino latched onto the rebound and sent it into the back of the net, but the flag was up for offside. Replays showed the striker to be about a yard off.

It was end to end stuff, with both teams going for it, and Juve had the next big chance when Serginho brought down Nedved inches outside the box. With no Del Piero, it was duly wasted.

Almost on cue, Chiellini fouled Kaka at the other end. Pirlo stepped up and fired on target, but an alert Buffon was up to the task.

Both teams were looking for the winner, and the game was stretched. The likes of 'Pippo' Inzaghi, Alessandro Del Piero and Raffaele Palladino were thrown in to mix it up.

Inzaghi ran onto Serginho's cross to shoot, but once again, Gigi was up to the task. As the game wound down, Maldini came ever so close with a late effort.

Milan were once again finishing the stronger of the two sides, and Inzaghi had a shot saved by Buffon in injury time. The flag had gone up, anyway. However, the late Rossoneri push would come to nothing, as the referee blew for half time and both teams were forced to share the spoils.

It was an exciting game that deserved goals and winners. Juventus had the better of the chances overall, but the draw was by and large fair.

Oh yeah, i forgot.... What a match by Nocerino.
The kid is given a lot of freedom and he doesn't feel very comfortable with the ball at his feet, but the way he defends, intercepts passes and runs is unfuckinbelievable.
He had a monster match.

And our defenders made so many clean tackles that i still can't believe how they did it :)

I'm not calm yet and these ratings may change when i'll think better lately, but for now :

Buffon 8.00
Zebina 7.00
Molinaro 7.00 (defensively) , 5.50 (in attack)
Legro 7.00
Chiellini 7.00
Nocerino 8.00
Zanetti 7.50
Nedved 8.00
Salihamidzic 7.00
Trezeguet 6.00
Iaquinta 5.00

Subs :
Del Piero 5.00
Palladino 5.00
Marchionni 5.00

De Ceglie has played as a LB lately in both the Azzurrini and Siena and was very good. But IMO he got too much to offer offensively. I wouldn't mind him though, definitely an upgrade to Molinaro.

- I'm not happy with the draw, since we could have won the game.

- Ranieri can't always expect our subs to make the diff in the last 18min. Why doesn't he try making them a bit earlier?????

- We looked almost dead from the 60min ---->80, 20 min we never tried creating a chance nor attacking.

-Sali, Molinaro , Nocerino can't really expect Iaquinta to fly like a rocket giving him passes faster than a rock.

- Molinaro isn't up to it yet, just like Criscito.

- Lets hope Inter loose tomorrow.

i hope there is a chance for us to recall him from his loan in january, it will be a relief to see some one who can add more than molinaro.
