Buffon Confident Ahead Of Milan Game
Gianluigi Buffon is aware that Milan have still yet to win at home in Serie A this season and is confident that Juventus can pile on the misery.
The Rossoneri go into this Saturday’s big match with four wins and two defeats from their six league matches at San Siro.
They are desperate to end this sequence against a Juventus side who are flying high in second position in the table.
“Milan haven’t won at home this year and I know that they have a great desire to make up for the dark nights, but we don’t want to be sacrificial lambs,” Buffon declared.
“They are European champions and they could soon occupy the world throne, so it’s obvious that this will be a difficult game.
“We have great faith in our own abilities as long as we continue to work with the same humility and spirit of sacrifice that has been at the heart of the campaign so far.”
Juventus had been expected to struggle this campaign following their post-Calciopoli promotion from Serie B, however they are now being talked about as potential Scudetto challengers.
Buffon is being realistic though.
“There are three sides that are stronger than us,” the ex-Parma man added.
“It’s true that Milan, Inter and Roma have Champions League distractions, but they would need to have injuries to all 20 of their players.”
