Revenues, seats, unveiling: all you need to know about Milan and Inter’s new stadium
The Stadio Meazza will be partially demolished in 2026 after the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics that will take place in the current home of Milan and Inter.
‘The Cathedral’ will be smaller than the Meazza, with a seating capacity of 65,000 against the current 80,000.
There will be more executive seats to maximise the revenues, with Inter and Milan are expected to gain at least €80m each every year from their new stadium.
A new Twitter account has been created to remain updated with the latest developments regarding the new stadium: @NuovoStadioMI.
“The new San Siro will be the most beautiful stadium in the world for its strong identity and recognisability,” said Milan President Paolo Scaroni.
An attractive arena, accessible and sustainable for the city of Milan that will facilitate the growth of the clubs and their global competitiveness.”
Inter’s Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello added: “The New Stadium of Milan will be in an extra-contemporary green area that can be lived all year round. The new district for sport and leisure and its 50,000sqm park will make San Siro the go-to neighbourhood for sport and entertainment".

So how much of a threat do you all think this will be to us in the future?
Having our own Stadium gave us an edge that allowed us to dominate for near ten years but now we can't even fill it and are a shadow of our former selves.

Meh, two clubs owning one stadium will never be more beneficial than us having one all to ourselves IMO.
Id be more worried if they each had their own. Everything about JS screams
, it became a symbol like the B&W stripes and the very name of the club; while theirs will be just a building used by and associated with 2 clubs, and will have the identity of the city if Milan rather than of those clubs.
That being said, in general, the more new stadiums the better for all.

I wouldn’t agree whit this, from monetary perspective it’s definitely beneficial for two teams to build one stadium. I mean, initial investment/capex is split between the two accounts, while they reap same benefits if each of them were to own it’s stadium.
Who cares about symbolism in today’s football, everything is plastic and fucked anyways. We have our own stadium and then you see shitty live ahead, hashtag bullshit banners all over it. Yeah, really intimidating
