Many will point out at Juve as the underachievers of the first half of this season. My choice here is Inter.

The CL fiasco aside, I find it unbelievable that they are (if we beat Napoli) only 2 pts ahead of us at half season. I saw most of their matches and they are indeed a very good team. Very strong starting 11 that dominates matches. Players have their roles and know each other. They had luck with injuries and covid.
Even their numbers show that they should be ahead of us by a lot.
Hakimi, Barella, Handanovic and Lautaro played all 19 matches, Lukaku 18, Vidal, Brozovic and De Vrij 17, Young 16. They (almost always) had a full team and they have a bench consisting of quality and proven players like Alexis, Eriksen, Perisic.
On the other hand, Ronaldo played 15, Morata and Cuadrado 14, Dybala 11, De Ligt 10, Alex Sandro 7. We are always missing important starters.
Their attackers score and assists as much as ours, even if we have Ronaldo. Their midfielders have better numbers than ours, their fullbacks too.
They seriously underachieved imo and they're lucky to be free of European duties in spring.
Quality or proven has beens you mean, like Alexis eriksen perisic Vidal kolarov, young or eternal jabronis like d'ambrosio gagliardini darmian.
Maybe there is hope for eriksen in another league, where you can get away with being lazy.

PS. They still have ranochia :), a poor man's rugani, since forever.

They have a good squad, no idea what you up to. No need to downtalk them.
They're starters are mostly good.
They're back up players are a joke though.(watched the Roma game, where Conte made 3 changes and lost 2 points.)
I don't think they are underachieving, not like us anyway. That's they're place.
Milan are overachieving somehow.

You thought that I was taking digs at Marotta didn't you?
Nah, he helped in creating a competitive squad for inda and in giving time he is going to improve their reserves also.

during that match, conte subbed in ashley young, perisic, gagliardini and kolarov, and alexis sanchez, eriksen, sensi, ranocchia and 2 backup gk's were the unused subs. besides kolarov and ranocchia, this is quite a strong bench, most of the other players would start for at least 16 serie a clubs.

they made a strong mercato: hakimi proved to be a very effective player with 6 goals and 3 assists, and even an old vidal would be a useful addition for most teams. last season, they had 46 points after 19 rounds (41 now). even considering the busier schedule, i'd say alen has a point, they are underachieving.

too bad for our shaky results, especially against all the benevento's and fiorentina's. we have holes in our squad, still, this should be a routine scudetto for a properly managed juventus.

Imo their squad isn't far behind ours. We still have the better one if you count player 1-20, but the starting eleven? Close call.

That logo and name change seems a bit half-assed.

Agree. Though call on their starters. I mean brozovici, barella, hakimi, (one of skriniar, de vrij and bastoni) next to de ligt, even the washed up Vidal would give a run for their money to our starters.
Also one of lukaku or lautaro would walk in our line-up.
They have a strong first team line-up that's for sure.

Inter are now a proper Conte team built for the league but they have his limited tactics as well and that is why some games they look hopeless. When they all click like against us they do look good but if you take out a couple of them like Lukaku and Brozovic then you see the limit of their players. Its precisely why they got quality players like Eriksen but the Conte system doesn't accommodate him very well and the guy will never change to integrate a player that could significantly raise their level.

First Conte and Beppe, now the new logo.

They really copy us like only the chinese could.

Hopefully the copying stops at winning something.
Just wait for the next transfer window when they are going to start and buy Americans.
Hopefully some bad ones.
