Guys who are upset about Eriksen, don’t forget that players have to choose their club and clearly Eriksen chose Inter. No point crying over it.

No one is crying, first, its not even clear we are even trying btw, for him to make a choice. My contention is this sudden need to pretend Eriksen is no bueno because he is being signed by Inter.

99% of these posters would fap themselves to death if we were signing him right now.

You do realize, regardless of the bad timing investment wise, how unfuriating it is, that we spent last 5 years ignoring our midfield major investment wise (Pjanic was 30m), and been focusing on market opportunity free transfers/expiring contracts, to completely underwhelming mediocre outcomes as we speak (I like Rabiot and Ramsey, but so far this season, they have 3 good games between them...). And here is an actual top top top creative/technical midfielder, available for basically nothing, and we are ignoring it?

I 100% hope you are right my man, I 100% hope he chokes and is terrible for them. But Eriksen for past 5-6 years, has been a top few best midfielders around, and he is available for free/cheap. In HUGE positional need quality wise.

Right right now, there are only 2 midfielders (not wingers, but CM/Am types) in the world I would 100% take over him, they are De Bruyne and Pogba. No one else really.

And Inter are getting him, Inter, and for very affordable fee.

You are obbsessed with 10-11m salary, and not the fact he is a world class player and probably consistently best overall midfielder in EPL past 6 seasons (between him and Silva, De Bruyne more recent).

We misuse our budget on likes of Can (6m), Khedira (6m), Rabiot and Ramsey ( 7.5m-8m). I would rather ask what are they bringing to the table to the table to get that right now, rather then wether a top level premier playmaker getting just a bit above that.
selling Can should net 20-25mil and get his large wage off the books. he clearly doesnt want to be here so why cant he make way for eriksen?

That is the only reason we cannot afford Eriksen at this point.

Then that means we fucked up. We give bloated contracts (renewing even) to SUPREMELY mediocre players, and then are suprised when still has a weakness in that key part of the team.

Thats another way we are fucking up. The whole world damn well knew Can is an average depth player when we signed him, and we should get rid of him while we can.

I genuinely hope we are passing on Eriksen, because we are heavily planning or almost done dealing with a major player in midfield, Pogba level or just a notch below that.

Otherwise I dont get this at all.

So let him join inda and ruin his career, personally I cant see how he suits conte's system. I'd have been more worried if they signed Vidal.
Any how our midfield seems to be gelling better of late so I'm not that overly worried.

So... Eriksen decided to lose to Juventus more often... Ok..

Seriously now Im not too upset about Eriksen as I value his leadership skills but I probably value his actual skills way less than most of you..

Isnt that the reverse Orgut lol. I know plenty of danes, and most of em disliked him as choker for many years in NT in younger years, for lacking leadership/mentality to have the impact he had in club level. But no one actually doubts his god given skills. They are super obvious.

The situation is what it is. I would have liked him if the quoted salary was smaller and we didn't have those scrubs (can and khedira) on our payroll. I still consider Ramsey a question mark.
He will probably be successful, but I belive it is going to be very hard to replicate his performances in Seria a. Different league. Even Ronaldo had some trouble adjusting to it and he is the goat.
Sometimes things just don't go our way, remember the salas and Ronaldo debacle.

I remember this time last year where people on this forum were SCREAMING for Paratici to sign Ramsey in January for the 20 million that Arsenal were looking for.

Now, someone want to try to tell me that Ramsey is better than Eriksen?
Strong coping mechanism kicking in for some here.

Eriksen is a fantastic player. His last 3 seasons:

10 goals - 17 assists
14 goals - 12 assists
12 goals - 23 assists

But he's overrated. We don't need that sort of production. :baus:

We're not getting him, and that's fine, but it has nothing to do with us having better players. Or his salary being too big, considering what we're paying guys like Emre Can, Rabiot, and Ramsey for being bench warmers, oft injured, or 1-2 decent performances in a Juve jersey thus far.

Imagine playing Sarriball (with no wingers) and not being all over that :disagree:

The funny thing is most would be ok with eriksen joining psg or madrid instead. So people are basically getting pissed off because we arent throwing money at someone just for the sake of him not signing for inda.
