i probably missed that; when did he say that he won't play an other 4 years?
There was a documentary on Radja on Belgian tv a while ago. They visited him in Rome & talked about a bunch of things (career so far, difficult youth, antics off the pitch, ...).
When him missing the WC & his subsequent retiring from the national team came up, he was asked if there was a chance that he would have a change of heart:

"If Martinez is no longer here in 2 or 4 years time, would that mean that you might reconsider?"
"No, I've made my decision."
"But the next world cup is only in 4 years time. You wouldn't be too old at that point to achieve your dream."
"No chance. I will have retired from football at that point."

Obviously doesn't mean he won't change his mind, but still pretty weird.

Tonelli Sr: 'Inter-Juventus an offence’ | Football Italia

The father of Napoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli calls the refereeing in Inter’s defeat to Juventus - “an offence to the sport”.

The Bianconeri took a dramatic 3-2 win at San Siro on April 28, with Gonzalo Higuain’s last-minute header sealing the win.

Matias Vecino saw red in that game, while Miralem Pjanic should have been given a second yellow, and former Partenopei Coach Maurizio Sarri admitted they lost the Scudetto because of the psychological impact of the Juve comeback.

“Unfortunately a slightly bitter taste remains after how the refereeing went,” Pietro Tonelli said on Radio Crc.

“Incidents like those in Inter-Juventus just can’t happen. Juventus are the strongest and must be treated like all the others.

“It’s true they won the Scudetto, but let them with with their strength. Unfortunately Sarri is right when he says they lost it in the hotel, because it was a very heavy psychological blow.

“It’s not a matter of cheering for Napoli, even if they were playing the bottom team in Serie A those incidents would remain an offence to the sport.”

Pietro was also asked about his son’s future in Naples, as he’s made just seven Serie A appearances in two seasons.

“Lorenzo is really good now, I hope he can stay at Napoli and be a protagonist in all competitions. Naples is an extraordinary city, I hope they do some great work at the San Paolo.

“Sarri taught him a lot of things, and I hope [Carlo] Ancelotti can too.”
