Insigne: 'Heads held high'
Football Italia

Lorenzo Insigne insists Napoli “put in a strong performance” in their goalless draw with Inter and keeps Scudetto hopes alive.

“We’ve got to stay calm, because we put in a strong performance tonight,” the Napoli star told Mediaset Premium.

“We created a great deal, but need to be more determined in front of goal. We can nonetheless build on this performance.”

Inter held Napoli to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio San Paolo earlier this season too.

Juventus are now top of the table, but with a game in hand to be played against Atalanta on Wednesday evening, so potentially four points clear.

“Many talk to put pressure on us, but we focus only on ourselves and our performances. The best team will end up on top.

“As long as the title is mathematically within reach, we’ll fight on with heads held high.”

FU Bonucci! You POS traitor! Good riddance!

All the posters who complained about our porous defense at the beginning of the season?

My friends, we have presently given up only 15 goals in serie play.

Spalletti is sending a signal to the Chinese: invest or skip out on CL (Scudetto)

“It all depends on where you want to put this Inter. We in general had a horrible, really ugly period with some terrible games. In general, we’ve not played great football this season, because I don’t think we have this kind of quality that people seem to think.

“If we want to take the game to the opposition, we have to pass it around quickly and in short spaces. Instead, tonight we passed it back to our goalkeeper too many times. If you have quality, like Napoli do, you pass it between the lines with quick give-and-go moves. We tried that, and most of the time lost the ball.

“Napoli have a lot of quality, but we don’t have those characteristics.”
