Sarri: "I think that over the course of this season, the team that have made life the most difficult for Juventus was us."

Sarri claiming the "team that made life most difficult for Juventus" scudetto.

I'm almost positive Galliani will interject that Milan made life more difficult.

Life is pretty hard when you get booted out of the coppa and trail the scudetto by 10+ points

Sarri said he told his players not to give the ball back to Juve when Cuadrado was injured because we wasted time the whole game.

ADL: 'Napoli not Catenaccio...'

By Football Italia staff

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis praised Coach Maurizio Sarri for not resorting to “Catenaccio tactics” against Juventus.

The Partenopei won 3-2 on the night, but went out of the Coppa Italia semi-final 5-4 on aggregate.

“I expected Napoli to play better than Juventus, which already happened on Sunday,” De Laurentiis told Rai Sport.

He was referring to a 1-1 Serie A draw at the Stadio San Paolo at the weekend.

The President then aimed a sideswipe at Juventus boss Max Allegri.

“You could sense our superiority on the field throughout. This team has heart and a Coach who is not stuck in Catenaccio tactics, but instead is a gentleman of football.”

De Laurentiis also posted this message on Twitter after the game.

"A great Napoli, a team that plays splendid football thanks to the lads and Coach! Well done, I am proud of you!"

This guy :touched: He can't control himself
Gentleman of football :touched:

:agree: And yet we didn't. When are we going to start caring? We didn't care against Lyon in the CL (we managed 4 points against them, but it could've been oh so different), against Napoli in the league, against Inter in the 1st game, against Milan in the league game at home, against Genoa away, against Fiorentina away, and these are just a few examples.
Shows how good we are that we get shit on by posters (such as yourself) and we are on course for a potential treble. No one is ever satisfied it seems.

This is why I've always maintained that Napoli are easily the most disgusting club in Calcio (after the Milan trannies) Everything is detestable about their club from top to bottom. Glad we've fucked them hard this season, with their hated ex-hero scoring 4 goals in 4 games against them

ADL is confused, do you remember this quote by him recently?

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis praises Juventus for their will to win, but “putting beauty into football is important”.

Maurizio Sarri’s Partenopei are widely seen as playing the most attractive football in Serie A, but currently lie nine points behind six-time champions.

“Juve are always Juve, you can’t forget that,” De Laurentiis explained to Sky.

They have a gentleman Coach [Max Allegri], who can change a game already in progess, and they’re used to winning.

“They never give up, they go onto the pitch super-motivated and start knocking the opposition around professionally, not with their fists but with the ball.

“They take to the pitch to beat the opposition, not to play beautiful football, whereas they say about us that we play nice football but we have to be more cynical.

“I push for elegance and being sportsmanlike, and we’re different with Sarri’s game. We don’t battle on a muscular level, while the Bianconeri are physical.

“I’m with Sarri who is fun and has an aesthetic. Putting beauty into football is important.”

De Laurentiis was also asked about Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

“It will be a tense game, but a healthy tension. We hope to prevail tactically, but also in the quality of our play because all the players out there will be quality.

“When say that we have to be focused on the next game [against Genoa] it’s not just a cliché, though everyone says it now. It’s about concentration.

“If a player is already thinking about the game against Real Madrid, the champions of champions, then they’ll go into this game exhausted.”

We are good, but we can be even better. Serie A is not a true benchmark, and I am frankly mortified by the lack of concern some are showing. We aren't playing great football, scraping by in recent games, and will need to drastically improve if we want to negotiate the Shitcunts from Catalunya. They are a formidable obstacle. I also want to see players play in their natural positions more often, so we can get the best out of them. Dybala is under-performing, and that is a cause for concern, considering he is arguably our most important player.

You're mentioning things before our switch to 4-2-3-1 and our regain of form, brotato
The Sampdoria, Udinese, and Milan games were all after the switch Broski. The results are there, but the performances aren't. We showed Napoli too much respect. We can't afford to do that against Farcelona. They'll murder us if we just sit back, cede possession. and hit them on the counter.

But to be frank that's the only way to eliminate them (Atletico, Inter, Chelsea).

Of course not. You want to gift them 70% possession. We need to play a balanced game. Sure, they can have the lion's share of possession, but we shouldn't sit back and invite them. We saw how well that worked against Napoli in the last two games. At home, we need a cautious approach, but we must also dare to take risks; otherwise, the tie is over even before we board that plane to Spain.
