In light of a number of articles published in recent days, Juventus Football Club and president Andrea Agnelli would like to announce that the club has instructed its legal team to safeguard its honour and respectability.

The club states that the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office began, and recently concluded, an investigation into a number of families considered to be members of 'Ndrangheta, alleged to have committed offences against individuals and property, whilst attempting to infiltrate certain activities of Juventus Football Club. No employee or individual registered to the club was ever investigated in legal proceedings.

The club has always cooperated fully with the investigating authorities and their enquiries, maintaining the utmost confidentiality with regards to judicial proceedings.

With regards to sporting justice, the club has already actively shown its readiness to cooperate.

There was this article in the Guardian which touched on the subject, but dunno if it's the main one FI refers to.

These are serious allegations, I think it could even lead to prison time for some members of Juve if they were proved. But I think it will lead to nothing since Juve employees are not under investigation and Juventus are also not completely denying it, meaning they won't go to court to prove the allegations are completely false.

I would conclude that some of it probably is true, which is very disgusting.

It's nice to see the other clubs trying to strengthen this mercato though they seem ineffective in their buys.

Compared to 2-3 years ago, Serie A is looking a lot more competitive.

I've said previously in this thread that Serie A has been very entertaining and of a high quality this season. Plenty of really good games so far. Too bad the stadiums suck and are half empty, and the there is a massive lack of marketing of the league. It has potential to be one of the top 2 leagues again, but it will never happen with the backward donkeys in charge of things.

Former Napoli youth star Renato Di Giovanni shot dead in broad daylight ambush
A former Napoli youth player has been shot dead in a daylight ambush.

Renato Di Giovanni, who once featured on the bench for Napoli against Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League, was reportedly targeted in an attack on the outskirts of Naples.

Initial reports from Italy claim that Di Giovanni, 21, was located in front of the Santa Maria di Montevergine church in the Soccavo district when the attack took place.

He sustained fatal injuries from multiple gunshot wounds and passed away at the scene.

Di Giovanni, whose last known appearance for Napoli came in 2014, was known to police with a history of drug-related offences.
His murder has been linked to the Camorra, after a killer, riding a scooter, opened fire in front of the church on the western outskirts of the city.

Fiorentina 13/14:
- Only Giuseppe Rossi as Italian starter
- 4 Italians in total
- 16 different nations in first team

Fiorentina 16/17
- Astori, Bernardeschi, Chiesa, Saponara as Italian starters
- 5 Italians in total
- 13 different nations

Good for Azzurri and Italian football

Kastanos is starting tonight against Inter btw! Cerri and Pepe on the bench.

Their focus changed because of the new domestic trained players rules. 8 in squad and 4 club trained. All those can be foreigners (Dybala, Nainggolan counts etc) but of course they mainly Italians.

It's Juventus' fault he got murdered.
