Perfectly legal .. know your rules...Cassano was way behind everyone and came out to score. Whether the RULE is right is another matter...the issue is whether the goal was legal..it was.
Regardless, both teams played like crap.

How does that lesser the impact of two goals scored by Juve that were irregular?
I know that it was a perfectly legal goal, yet I ,and many men with me, do not agree with this rule. They created a grey zone, they can mess with. Things like these are destroying football. And yes, it is another issue, but voices all around Europe are doubting whether the rule is just.

Indeed, both teams played like crap, although I believed Juventus were the better side in the first half. It does lesser the impact of the two irregular goals by Juve, because you cannot say Juventus was favoured by the referee. Moreover, I don't think Juventus would have lost the game when Roma was playing with 8 men.

Not bashing anyone ..just stating the facts. However it is nothing new that DP had a mediocre game.
More over, unlike the usual "DEL PIERO RULES" posts I think a more meaningful debate like this one is needed.
Lastly, I'll go where I want.
Del Piero indeed had a mediocre game. But he did convert a crucial penalty kick and remained calm despite being kicked all around the field and being provoked. I don't think those "Del Piero rules" posts are appropriate either, but I haven't seen many of them in this thread.

Zlatan's goal was ruled offside by inches by all post=game shows and commentators in Italy.
and most football websites across the globe claim the goals was legal. and there is also a rule that says that all questionable offside calls should go in favour of the attacking side. this was questionable, wasnt it?

besides, we had 1 or 2 penalties denied. ffs, when cannavaro scored it couldve easily been a penalty againdt cufre.

thats right. And Milan was lucky agaisnt Man Utd. If we had the same luck as Milan, I'm sure we could beat the red devils in old trafford. Besides, that was Shitty Milans FIRST win on English soil EVER in history....

I agree with Denco's post. People justify Capello's decision to replace Del Piero with Pessotto because we went on to win the game, but the same people would want his head on a stick had Roma managed to score. Just like in Madrid, we allowed the opposition to come at us. We were lucky not to concede a late equaliser like against Parma and Cagliari earlier on this season, but a la Trapattoni, Capello just isn't learning. I'm pretty sure we're going to go out of the Champions' League on Wednesday simply because Capello doesn't have the balls to tell the team to attack with abandon and take the game to Real. If we get ourselves in front he's going to have us try to defend the lead, I'm confident about that.

And so what if we have the refs on our sides? Isn't it something that annoys the others...let them learn how to live with it

Congrats Sir..you have just demonstrated to us that you know nothing about the game....MILAN WERE LUCKY AGAINST MAN U?
Maybe against Inter....MAN U?

Everyone applauded Milan's effort of bringing their game to MAN U in Old Trafford. What in the world are you talking about..they controlled 75% of the game and had the MAN U players scrambling..they forced C. Ronaldo to be substituted because he could do little and held Rooney to barely a shot on net.

This is by far the most ridiculous post in a long time.

Milans goal might of been a blunder, but they way they played was not 'luck'. However, these things happen in football. Its man u's own fault their goalie made a meal out of a routine save

Buffon - did his job

same for zambrotta and pessoto.

zebina, thuram and canna were simply amazing (esspecially surprised by thuram )

camo and emerson faught for every ball and blasi was everywhere on the field.

del piero and zalayetta were on top of their games and ibrahimovic did play better but he can improve a lot.

too many yellows and the game was out of controll. we got a penalty we did not deserve and they dissallowed a goal that was legal.

man of the match thuram.

montella played like a moron. gettin on all the offsides.
I agree, Thuram was our best player...

First was from a free kick to zlatan head to Pillitzolli (difficult name) and from him to Canna head to the net

second was from a PK by DP, i was afraid of it cuz DP used to put the ball in the middle recenly and thats what romas GK though and he just stoped in the Middle waiting for the ball which has been sent hardly to his left upper angle, very nice from DP always unpredictable
Yeah, Dp put them in the middle in his last 2 PK, this Time Pollitzolli thought it's gonna be again in the middle, but Dp Screwd him and bang it over there.

Forza Captain.

I only have a few things to say for now.

The penalty was totally undeserved but Ibrahimovic had a perfectly good goal disallowed for an incorrect offside call so things worked themselves out in the end.

The Roma players (and fans too) were absolutely horrible. Cassano is such a stupid prick while Totti and Cufre should've been sent off.

The defence was very good, hats off to them.

Del Piero's attitude is quite simply phenomenal. No one seems to be able to fluster him. Cufre slapped him but he responded with class. Alex is now more than ever before my role model and though some may say that he doesn't fight like a captain should on the pitch, he's a shining example for others in terms of handling situations, both on and off the football field. Class.

FORZA JUVE!!!!!!!!!
:touched: I wanna see him lifting the CL...
