I alerady expected that article to come out. This Dellas really knows how to complain about refereeing decisions. We r not favoured by the referee and Roma is not too. The referee seems intimidated by Roma fans + players after that controversial penalty.

1. Our 1st goal is offside, and giving us a penalty is a definite mistake, but hey, referees r humans too, they do make errors. When Blasi mispassed the ball to Cassano, ur Totti and Montella r already offside yet it is still considered a goal. Zlatan's goal wasn't offside yet the flag remains up.

2. Ur Totti and Cufre massacred our players time and time again. Ur Totti tried to provoke Emerson + Zebina and he kicked the ball to the referee. Ur lucky that he is still playing for ur team in the 2nd half. Same case for Cufre. He seems to be playing rugby instead of football, tackling Zebina and Camo. He is lucky to survive that too! Had it been other referees, u would have been only left with 9 players in the 2nd half and lost 4 - 0!!

3. Montella has been offside all the time and still dares to appeal for a peanlty. Deserves no mercy either. He should have been yellow carded earlier, not in the 86th minute. Dacourt made a lot of tough tackles too.

So Dellas, pls get the situation of both sides clear b4 saying anything.

sorry vinman , but you are to hard on juventus.
we coulend play ower game, we get fouled everye ball we touchet.
and like Zaff says we had class in this game !
you see Totti Kicking againts emerson and emerson walkt away and helped his team mate's
if that was emerson on Totti, totti feld on the ground and asked the reff for a Red card!
and if i was the ref i give cufre 2red cards what he did to zebina is just not normall.
and vinman i truly believe that we will beat Real madrid
and if you think this is offside than sorry man but than you dont know what offside is

roma have luck that montero wasent on the field because he would break totti's nek and breaks cufre's leggs.

I guess I`m the only one not so pleased with Zebina`s performance...
And about Cassano he is great and I hope we will get him
About Zalayeta he is really surprising me he is playing very good at the moment
Camoranesi also surprises me lately he is playing really good

My ratings:
Buffon: 6.5 didn`t need to do much work the defenders cleared almost everything for him but I liked his save on Zebina`s error which could have been an own goal

Zebina: 6

Thuram:6.5 great tackle on Montella but he wasn`t that great in that match

Cannavaro: 7.5 Nice Defending+scoring a goal

Zambrotta: 6 wasn`t as involved as he usually is

Camoranesi: 7.5 I`m maybe the only one who see it but I think he is putting great performances lately and he had a great pass which broke the offside to Zlatan but Zlatan wasn`t able to control it and I think he should have been able to control it

Emerson: 7

Blasi: 5 he didn`t play well and made the mistake which led to the goal

Ibrahimovic: 6

Del Piero: 5.5

Zalayeta: 7 he is impressing me lately

Man Of The Match: Totti
Our Man Of The Match: Camoranesi

If we stay with 4-3-3 we may just need a right back and a striker

Del Piero deserves 6.0 and Thuram deserves more. Zalayeta dont deserve 7.0, maybe 6.5, but thats it

When I got my ticket in mid-week to this game I thought it would be the game of the season. How could I have been so naïve: the writing was on the wall. Juve has not played a beautiful game all season and this was no exception and Roma has proven time and time again that they are made up of spoiled lowclass stars with a coach who cannot control his players.
What did this game show?
1. The dubious decisions in favor of Juve still very much exist: An offside goal..a PK which was rightfully called the ‘worse call’ of the season. Juve-Bologna, Juve-Cagliari, Juve-Palermo, Juve-Milan have all had controversial calls or blind eyes. This game took the cake.
2. Totti and Cassano are two of the most unprofessional lowclass stars out there who set the tone the entire match: they got the crowd fired up..they got their team-mates fired up. If they had actually concentrated on playing rather than hacking and complaining they would have put up a fight. They choose to whine the entire game. Sometimes rightfully so.
3. Del Piero’s class shined through in the game in terms of sportsmanship but not in terms of playing. Unless you consider kicking a PK having a great game. It seems Juve fans have become content calling DP ‘back on form’ because he transforms a Penalty. Quite an indiciation of how low the bar has been set on this guy.
4. Are we supposed to believe that this team (Juve) is the best Italy has to offer? No team-mates click..possession was in favor of Rome and their wins are either ‘scrappy’ or ‘controversial’. Hmm, it's interesting that the match report on Channel4 doesn't mention anything about Zlatan's goal being wrongly disallowed as an off-side. How convenient...

Do you seriously claim that Del Piero had a bad game? He wasn't great since nobody could have been great in the first half - the game was so full of fouls. Zlatan and Zalayeta didn't play any better - nor did Totti for that matter. I can't understand how you can critisize a guy after being in the field for 50 minutes in a game of this sort. It still amazes me how some people can always find only the negative (or the positive for that matter). I prefer being a realist. DP played a normal, ok game like so many others in that game. No need for praise him or critisize him but I guess impossible for some people to just ignore him for one match.

Zlatan's goal was ruled offside by inches by all post=game shows and commentators in Italy.
MIlan was initially given 3 minutes of extra time..in the 1-2 minute an Atalanta player threw himself on the ground wasting exactly one minute eight seconds. If the ref was to allow for this then a player could fake an injury and have the extra time run out. The ref added the wasted time..nothing new.

So what? Does not better Del Piero's performance. The disucssion is Del Piero and not Zalayeta, Zlatan or Totti. You can't justify his playing by claiming the others didn't do anything. No logic.

Once again, I am supposed to believe that playing in a match for 50 minutes means you played well?? Are you seriously trying to have a discussion here?
More over, Juventus pumps Del Piero up as a great star like Shevchenko, Adriano, Ronaldo, etc. NORMAL is not going to cut it if you are going to claim a player is great.
However, it was well established a long time ago that he does not and never did fit that profile. Juve pumped him to a level where it broke him down causing uncosistent performances and inability to step it up in big matches.

What about Roma's goal? IMO it's doubtful if it's legal and if it's legal that ****ing rule should be changed. That rule is only out there to create a grey zone people can mess with.

And what about Totti and Cufre? If the referee favoured Juventus why didn't he send them off?

Perfectly legal .. know your rules...Cassano was way behind everyone and came out to score. Whether the RULE is right is another matter...the issue is whether the goal was legal..it was.
Regardless, both teams played like crap.

How does that lesser the impact of two goals scored by Juve that were irregular?

Guys big picture please.

I am worried, very worried

Now picture wednesday, Juve goes 2 goals up against Real Madrid and we are playing well with a 3 man attack with 30 mins to go, Real bring on Owen, guess what, Capello will take off Dp, out initiative goes to pot because we are defending a 2 goal lead and Real score 2 goals

This is not an idle rant or is it a prediction, I have seen it all before and where did i see it, I saw it with Italy as Trapatoni as manager, Vinman take a bow, u got it spot on, we are managed by a Trapatoni clone in Capello, the guy is an absolute asshead

What the hell are you doing, you joke, by taking off Dp at 55 mins and bringing on Pessotto of all people

We completely surrendered initiative to Roma and I am sorry they did not score because it will justify the idiot's decision but we will pay for it in the end mark my words.

I am so sick and tired of people trying to show off by justifying stupid decisions like that by saying this and that, plain and simple it was negative and it only invites trouble

Roma are not the Roma of old, they are not very good, nothing more complicated than that, they have a very good trident but thats about it, they have a godawful goalkeeper, defence which is very poor at times, average at others and not a very good midfield and yet we are treating them liker they are leading serieA

They are where they are not by accident but by design

Okay you take off one of the 3 strikers , so why not the quite ineffective Zalayeta who i thought was terrible

Why on earth would you then take off the one man who was holding up he ball well and thats Zlatan to replace him with the one player in world football who does not know how to hold on to the ball for 5 seconds when we are under pressure in \trezeguet

Everyone knows Trez is all about scoring, so why bring him on when we are just defending, why not make him the first sub and see if he could nick a goal when we are playing with 3 strikers and could still score on the break just to take the pressure off, and put the game to bed

No he brings on Pessotto and Roma did not even try to attack from that side

Now to the game

Buffon timelt saves at important times 6.5

Zebina his best game in a while as he had something to prove and did so admirably, still prone to stupid mistakes and behaviour though 6.5

Thuram they said he had flu and was doubtful, well i hope he always has flu after this dispaly he was awesome 7

Cannavaro good game and took his gola well as he reacted like a striker 6.5

Zambrotta , had to defend a lot due to Crap's tactics 6

Blasi has so much energy to burn and does a lot of spade work but is there a midfileder anywhere apart from Bosvelt and Joey Barton with less abilty than him 5.5

Emerson absolutely fantastic with a couple of crucial blocks to deny Roma 7

Camo was alright and still not very good at passing the ball as there was an instance where Zlatan had made such a very good run and was free only for him to overhit his pass 6

Dp showed he is back to his confident self, by taking on players in the first half and trying to beat them , something he has not been doing for a while 6

Zlatan, i thought played very well 6.5

Zalayeta, the one missing link in the trident as he was anonymous apart from his going to ground very easily for the penalty, had a good chance and fluffed it as well but its Zalayeta so some forgive him his limitations but i judge all equally and once you start a game and not play well you deserve a good bashing and he was quite poor 4.5

I must say the referee and his assistants were a joke, as Zlatan was offside in the move prior to the penalty, Thuram clearly brought down Montella and Roma should have gotten a penalty

Totti should have been sent off for his antics and in Europe he would have been but he gets away with it in Italy and then he thinks he would get away with it in europe and they send him off costing Italy or Roma in Europe

I am very afraid for Wednesday not because the guys are not good enough, but we have mr negativity as manager

Not bashing anyone ..just stating the facts. However it is nothing new that DP had a mediocre game.
More over, unlike the usual "DEL PIERO RULES" posts I think a more meaningful debate like this one is needed.
