[Seria A] Juventus - Milan (4 Viewers)

Don't know what to expect from Juve, I mean our form wasn't impressive before we had to face Inter last month but we did fairly well in that game and got a great result.

Milan seem be be in a rich vein of form right now and for me, that would make them slight favourites. I'm left hoping that our opponents will fire us up and help raise our game and that knowing a victory would probably eliminate Milan from the scudetto race.

nah, I want finaly to see some good performence against top teams. this would be also good practice for the next CL tasks.. who know may be we will play against them.
Don't worry we will have good performances, but right now milan is in the better form, and I would be satisfied with a draw and keeping 10 points advantage.

I would use this formation:
-----------------------Buffon
--Zambrotta(Balzaretti)-------Thuram---Canavaro----Chielini
--Mutu----------Viera----------Emerson--------Nedved
--------------Del piero--------Trez

I just wish we played some sort of trident like Milan, Barca and Italia
we have a trident , but capello dont use it , add mutu with the 2 strikers and you will have the best trident in the world.

Hoping not to get any negative rep for what I am going to do, the following is a match preview fom Seven. I really hope he can post again without him relying on his friends. Here what he wrote:

Juventus - Milan

Let me begin this preview by saying I will be there in our beloved, yet not all that pretty, Juve stadium. By the looks of it winning the game itself should be about as important as celebrating christmas with your family: we all say we take it very seriously, yet in all honesty we shouldn't care too much. Let's face it, we are going to win this scudetto. Should we fail against Milan on sunday, we should still be able to clinch that title without too many problems.

Though more than it will be game that decides who will be crowned champions in May, it will be a game about pride and dignity. Milan have come out this week's Champions League showdown like a huge maneating dragon, Juve have come out like a rabbit with a foul mouth. It's obvious that we have been ridiculed pretty much everywhere in Italy and beyond and it's also rather obvious Inzaghi's remarkable return doesn't boost our confidence either, but we should still manage to at least not look that bad against Milan. I'm not asking for us to win the game, I'm not asking for us to lose with just a one goal margin, but could we at least go down trying? Because that's what this team, or should I say Capello, lacks and what Milan have personified in Gattuso: grinta. We lack the will to fight.

On to the tactical aspect of the game. I don't expect Milan to give us a rough first half an hour. They have to win this game, but they aren't idiots. After that they'll probably start looking to finish the job as soon as possible. I expect they'll grab us by the throat and will only let go at the 90th minute. Sheva and Inzaghi are thé strikers our defence should worry about: fast, agile and most of all lurking at every possibility they get, no matter how small. I don't think Thuram or Cannavaro, who, with all respect, are rather slow will be able to keep up with them. Perhaps Cannavaro stands a chance, but I don't see how Thuram is going to pull this one off. Neither do I predict much good from our right back, who will most probably be called Zebina and faces Seedorf or Serginho. Seedorf will tend to cut inside, while Serginho will cover the flank. I suspect our central midfield will not be able to cope with Kaka, Pirlo and Seedorf so either our midfield will be outplayed or Zebina will have to let Serginho run free. This problem could be solved by playing only one striker, which should of course be Trezeguet. That way we could play Nedved next to Emerson and Vieira in midfield, while Mutu would play at left wing. Evidently Camoranesi would cover our right wing position.

You see I believe we should bench both Del Piero and Zlatan. Naturally the first for tactical reasons and the second because he, well, has been absolutely useless for quite some time now. I'm confident Del Piero will come on somewhere in the second half and have an important impact though. I don't think I'll see Zlatan's face this sunday, though that might be the optimist in me."

Regardless WHEN you win a match it is the goal that is lucky...

you have some ballz bringing up the word lucky after Juve was minutes away from being booted out by WERDER BREMEN if not for the worse display of goalkeeping in football history ... and again you are telling me MILAN IS LUCKY..
scoring a ripping shot in the 89th minute is not luck but being persistent...
having the keeper drop a ball and falling to your player's feet is luck...

see the difference?

I guess the 3-1 back in the October/November was also lucky right...

Didn't I admit that we were lucky..? I mean...! I still can't believe we won like that...! But yet u won't admit that Milan are the luckiest side all over  ! Just to mention the year Milan won the CL...! Remember ur goal in injury-time vs. AJAX....? Not to mention that AJAX really deserved to go through that year...!

Well I think to beat Milan will not be easy:disagree:

...but we all know Cappello and he difficult will loose in seria a like in champions (Werder- Juve).

Juve hasn't got the best form, but Milan has (...).

It will be a nice match, also because milan has to attack when they want to succeed..

Up front i think Del Piero and Trezeguet.

I think Zambrotta must play on the left side! He was our best player against Werder IMO!

Balza on the right!

And please Cap, let Ale play 90 min. against Milan! Last year in the 2nd leg game against Milam he made this beautiful assist for Trezeguet! Maybe he can do it again, and can give us our 29th scudetto!

Forza Juve

Yes, however this disaster can be blamed solely on Capello, a coach who continues to F-up in Europe, and not the identity and tradition of Juventus. .
JUVE TRADITION..what is that...controversy and horrible calls in Serie A and the most pathetic record in Europe...2 CL titles..one in the worst disaster ever and the ever in a PK shoot-out..

wow what tradition Salma....

Cannot answer every post individually so here is my over-all point:

This year Juve made it clear that CHAMPIONS was the goal and Serie A was the consolation prize..I could understand....2 CL Titles..one marred in blood and the other won in a PK shoot-out WHEN the team was using banned substances is really far from impressive...

Europe knows that year after year Juventus wins are overshadowed by controversial calls in Italy and their inability to win in Europe only gives greater credit to the theory that in Italy they seem to be given additional help..whether it is true or not is irrelevant...just showing what everyone else thinks of Juve...

If they wanted to win Europe Capello was the wrong coach to hire...They are fizzling out at the wrong time of the year..
More over, their boring, stagnant and catenaccio is really the last thing Europe wants to see from a supposed 'powerhouse'....are we supposed to believe that a team that drew the easiest of teams needed a late minute blunder from the keeper to go through is the best team in Europe??

The scudetto is probably out of reach because of Juve's early success but it is clear that this year once again Juve will have to settle for the consolation prize ...
face it...some folks are EUROPE..some ain't
