because of this is more than clear that money is not the only issue here. Something is happening in the background and seems to go beyond marotta´s and agnelli´s hands...and that thing is called better offers, better teams and better leagues. Like i said before.... if all fails... aguero WILL think about juve, if not... well thats it.

And it seems that Juventus dont like to be treated as 4th choice and are already negotiating with Rossi, so....
We are treated like a 4th choice, because we are such a team. Actually we have to be treated as a7th choice in Italy alone - and all of that is purely due to the policies set by our management. So here we are, as Manchester City were, in a very difficult position to attract top talent. You know what they did, right? Not to mention that Manchester is a horrible place to live with a better team in the city already. Maybe Marotta has to go to Kun's agent and say: 7.5 mils per year...errr ... I meant 8.5 or 9. But he is the first big name we would be signing in some time. There is the small detail that we skipped on him already and chosen Diego once. Surely, we don't like overpaying - good - 7th place it is then, no CL and our next sponsor will give us 1 Euro to write his phone number on our jersey advertising his old Fiat Uno for sale. And lastly, but not leastly who is the other big player we are getting as soundattack pointed out? Luka Dzeko or Edin Toni? Perhaps it is Cristiano Pepe or Mesut Aquilani?

yeh, thats the formula.

But you forgot the part about manchester city, madrid, barcelona etc... being hella rich. So yeh if we suck and we want to be better or compete in crazy bidding wars, we need a russian owner, or an oil baron...or simply stop sucking somehow to attract better players without being ripped or being left in bankrupcy.

Except Manchester City not one of the other teams is really richer. RM are supported by the government, but that is also an investment of some kind. Complicated investment, but one that works for Spain and has done so for many, many years. Our owners (the lot of them) belong to the richest family in Italy and one of the richest in Europe. Imagine if they've invested in us 1/3 of what they did invest in Ferrari for the last 3-5 years. Boom 1 billion! Waiter, I'd like my Messi with a Ronaldo on the side...
If they don't want to do that - then they cannot be the owners of the BEST italian team. There are two options - either we are NOT the best in Italy or Italian League should be quality wise like the Albanian league. Which one would you pick? :pint:

Ferrari? TBH, Ferrari are more than self sufficient, they make tons and tons of money off sponsorship so they dont really need the help of the Agnellis/Elkanns to finance their sporting activities.

Real Madrid makes like 350-400 million Euros in revenue every year. It's more than any other club by a long way. They don't take money from the Spanish government or from Perez. They don't need to.

They did get a 700 million € bailout a few years ago tho, when they sold their training ground to the government.

This.

The difference in income is just too obsene to compete. They can overpay for young unproven lads like neymar.... without even trying. They receive incomes from CL and the infinite amount of money they do in merchandising.

We, on the other hand, have 2 years straight without CL income, we dont sell out tickets of our "gigantic" stadium never, and del piero do not sell shirts like he used to.

Because of this, we need to be carefull in deals.... otherwise we can pull off a kaka like madrid did and shoot ourselves in the foot for the years to come. The difference would be that unlike them....we will end in red numbers....lots of them.

I think we're done with Aguero, we were out muscled in the transfer market.

However, lets hope Argentina lose and this saga can finally come to a conclusion.
