Not really comparable, as now we've supposedly had the "cash injection" with one of its primary purposes being to secure "top players."
where has this cahs injection come from? why didn't we have it last yeard when we fininshed 7th and were oh so desperate to secure dzeko?

it's can't be from cl because we are not in it. it can't be from the stadium because we haven't used it yet.

it's bullshit. we haven't had a cash injection in forever.

:D

We had, EXOR did it, so it's not from our usual earnings.

Eh? It was even reported on the main site that we got a cash injection.

Whether we spend it on player wages/transfers is a different matter though.

Corinthias ups their offer for Tevez to 40 million pounds, Mancini says he wants Aguero and Nasri. We are getting away from him, we should have concluded this deal a long time ago. If they sell tevez for that kind of money they would buy Kun and have some change left for Nasri. Bye - bye Aguero, you would have been great here! :bianconero:
Marotta - good job. I got an infraction for calling Marotta names, funny the mods love someone that pisses in their mouths.

Normally I would have a go at marotta and rightly so, but if we do lose out to aguero then in this case I just couldnt blame him, there seemed to be too many factors for aguero to be pushed to spain and england. His own father in law, the EPL and La liga etc appeal. Im sure a player like him would like to play in the champions league. I know Man shitty forums are full of aguero threads and plenty of excitement going on there. Either way IMO not marotta's fault.

Too many people here fail to realise that a good idea can become a very bad idea if the conditions are not right. Would it it have been a good idea to disproportionately waste (not use, waste) a significant portion of our budget just to feed a fetish? No, it wouldn't. Marotta has to juggle considerations, not just the one "bring aguero here no matter what", which seems to be what most fans live by. Entering into bidding wars and overpaying for players might work in the short term but it would milk our budgets dry when every club tries to get the most out of us.

It's really amusing to observe that people here seem to think about transfers along the lines of "if you want it bad enough it can be made to come true, no matter what". Unfortunately a deal has to be done between various parties and getting invaded in the backside just becauses of an obsession with one player is bad management. Period.
