Then why are there strong reports that his agents are planning to meet City, and that Atletico have accepted their offer? Are Suns and Alen making this shit up?

This is so nerve wrecking!!!
They are only reports.

If it turns out to be the case that we have bid €40m for this player and the offer has been rejected then I guess we have walked away and told ATM accordingly. That, or we have left the bid on the table, telling them they can return to us if they change their made mind.

The purchasing policy over the last 20 years, has been to get established internationals at top end prices. It is time the club faces its inability to match the wallets of the rich clubs and start picking up genuinely talented young footballers that are still 'below the radar' in Europe and South America at a fraction of the price of the figures being touted for Sanchez, Aguero, Pastore and others.

But thats exactly what we have been doing, choosing many mediocre (mostly Italian) players with faint hopes that might become world class with us.
It is actually the time to start choosing quality over quantity!!

If Aguero arrives, and we buy a decent LW, then I will absolve Marotta of any responsibility if we fail to perform in the upcoming season.
if we bought aguero and he flopped you would still blame the management, because thats the easy way. honestly speaking, vidal would be a bigger improvement to our side overall than aguero would i feel. A lot of our problems last season was not due to the lack of goals upfront, but instead the defensive set up and the lack of mobility in midfield, Vidal would solve this problem more so than aguero would.
