Link me this up Melo :D
Interesting article from Spanish Sports paper "Marca" & at the sometime conflicting & curious in its context. The piece highlights that ATLETICO DE MADRID has come to an agreement to increase the salary of its star Argentine forward SERGIO "KUN" AGUERO next season to 11M€ (gross) , making Aguero one of the highest paid players in the World.

Well if you look at the date it says: at Saturday, April 09, 2011.. So wouln't worry, this article is from before the season had ended.
Marca reported it in May/June too.

Anyways, I got this link but it says €9 mln.

According to AS, when Kun met with club directors on Monday to tell them he wanted out of Atleti, they responded by offering the striker a salary increase from €6.5m per year to close to €9m per year and a contract extension until 2017.

Guy behind the page told me he heard €11 mln payrise.

Take it as you want, I couldn't care less.

There is a possibility A. Madrid might get sold and issues with the owner, so there is no way that will offer him to increase his salary. BS news. Even if they increase it, it doesn't make any sense to increase to that number, it is a drastic jump from ~6 to 11

not helping melo, it says when kun told he wanted out. Again this was quite a while ago, which is clear he rejected and made his intention known publically.

So the offer still stans right? Stay with us and you get a payrise. It was reported €9 mln in my link, could be possible that it got raised to €11 mln when he rejected it.

From a media source of mine
Everything since the Agent and Marotta confirm talks is hyper-bullshit spurred on by the rarity of such a big transfer being so out in the opwn. It's desperate journos trying to imagine truths that aren't there. We're talking to his people, that's all we know or need to know at the moment

Warning: Don't read if you don't want to know the secret of sports journalism.

offer still stands, but he wouldnt be making his intention to leave public. as for the 'could be possible' that should be irrelavant as we are looking for valid or close to valid sources, otherwise heck even ill make some dogshit rumour up on atleti forum or site for others to pick up. this is chinese whispers.
