Marotta needs to hurry up, stop penny pinching and close a deal already - be it for Aguero or Rossi - before Chelski and City have entered the bidding for Aguero ... once that happens, he may well be gone as an option for Juve.

Real are almost certainly getting Neymar, and with Adebayor gone, they won't be releasing neither Higuain nor Benzema. Sanchez will most likely end up at Barca, City don't have the love of the player.
Now that they got Gasperini, Rossi may well end up at Inter, after missing out on Sanchez and with Pandev on the way out.

And in the end Juve could end up with no beter option than Vucinic ... which may well become a reality unless Juve closes for Aguero or Rossi by middle of next week.

my 2.5 cents

The physical task of drawing up a contract for a superstar takes time, we can generally agree the 7.5m a year but until given clearance everything else can't legally be agreed. I haven't heard thay we've been given the ok to agree such thins and even if we are doing it with his agent through proxy, it's still not the same and it will still have to be formally gone through before Serge signs on the dotted line.

It could take days after a fee is agreed

not disagreeing with this but I think people here are jumping to conclusions and think that this deal is nearly done just because Marotta supposedly met his agent or he praised Aguero or a rumour gave at as near a done deal.

Aguero's agent has probably met at least once with most big teams in Europe and will probably continue doing so for another couple of weeks till he finds the best place/bid for his client.

I have the feeling Juve is still just mostly testing the waters around for their big signing and the fear to not spend 5 mil more is making them indecisive as to which player - Aguero, Rossi, Sanchez, etc - they wanna go for.

If this is indeed the case - and not having signed Aguero by sometime next week will probably be a sign it is - all this time wasting may prove to be costly in the end as the big sharks like Chelski and Man City will have finally zoomed in on their targets.

We got the money yesterday, if we were waiting for it we could only be in the offer/counter-offer stage from monday onwards, it's impossible to tell without getting a good source like the agent saying it's deffo happening. A deal for Aguero should at least in theory take much longer than that for a squad player.

:agree:

Reading the headline on the Juve section of La Stampa's sports section, google translate says :

Our goal Aguero" Offer of 30 million. The ad: "A day I will see the agent. It will be a great Juve "

Is Marotta actually flat out saying he wants Aguero then?

In full:

Offer of 30 million. The ad: "A day I will see the agents. It will be a great Juve "
MAXIMILIAN Nerozzi

TURIN
In the beginning it will be Sergio Aguero. Word of Beppe Marotta, the first check, a multimillionaire, would remove it for "El Kun": "Now we focus on top players - says to the black and white - and this week we will have a contact with his agents. Aguero is a great player, and our goal. We will make a great Juve ". With a little 'in a hurry, wanting to enlist the Argentine striker, because in recent papers is awakened the interest of Real Madrid, who is planning to offer for sale Gonzalo Higuain.

In the case of exports also would agree to speed up procedures to Atletico Madrid, you can lose your idol, "El Kun" in fact, just do not become the enemy. The encounter with Hernan Reguera, agent of the tip, will smooth the negotiations already started in previous contacts: one starts from the Juventus offer 7.5 million euros per season, one more than the current salary, which has already convinced Aguero. Rather, it will be discussed, and much, with Atletico, because the distance between supply and demand remains high, about ten million. The Spanish company is in fact available at a discount of about five million out clause of 45: it's down to 40, in short, a cost that is quite insane.

Juve has offered thirty, and many are already in cash for the market in recent years. At most you can work on payment formulas, and any performance bonuses, because they do not want to Madrid technical counterparts. Fabio Marotta and Guild, the coordinator of the technical area, try to settle the agreement with prosecutors, then fly to Madrid. Moreover, in the business of football, now commands the will of the players and Aguero was on the subject quite clear: "At Athletic I spent five great seasons, but now it's time to go away," he repeated. Only reserve design: having Matri Quagliarella, perhaps the first requirement would be to hire a great left wing, unless you then place your hands on Mirko Vucinic, or similar item.

That said, Aguero is a talent worldwide, with shots and figures, such as 20 goals in 32 games last World Cup, and over a hundred goals in five seasons in Spain. Like the player, there is also the character with comic book that nickname, "El Kun", the favorite as a child, and the world-renowned for numbers and his son, Diego Armando Maradona. At 23, the poster would be perfect to stick in the new Juve, to see the stars. Moreover, "without dreams you find it difficult to live well," said Andrea Agnelli in his early days as president Juventus. Given the complexity of the negotiations, however, better to have a dream of an escort.

Giuseppe Rossi would, in art, "Pepito," the Barça man for weeks. "Smith is a player that we like - Marotta confirmed - and is part of the large group of these that interest us." Even here, the quote is not from summer sales: Villarreal asks about 30 million, a figure never reached even by Guardiola's Barca. He will not even Juventus, which comes up to twenty. While waiting for the big spending, the Bianconeri have been freed of ownership, thus avoiding the lottery of the envelopes (except for Ekdal with Bologna): Lanzafame is Palermo, Parma Palladino, Paolucci of Siena, where he will shoot well Almiron , saved by Bari In this deal, Juve would have got their hands on half of Grandolfo Francis, 19 years, Mr. triplet. A small "Kun", who knows.

I doubt Juve management didn't have a pretty decent idea already roughly what amount of money they would be able to rely on for the mercato even before the CdA meeting ... that meeting only made things official.

My point was that while waiting for the mercato financial injection to arrive, this time must/should have been used to narrow down the transfer targets and prep the deal, more or less, to the point of where only the payment is left to be made.

If Marotta has been in fact working towards getting Aguero - as you said a transfer like that takes time - I would think that, now that they have the money, they will close the deal next week.

If not, then it probably means Marotta, even now is still testing the waters around and may not have Aguero as his prime objective, let alone a prepped deal and would have to start the whole process from stage one. This could allow other teams to move in for Aguero considering he is still readily available ... that's what I was trying to say.

thanks for the input, it sure helps a lot
