Actually people who want Aguero can not look further than their nose and deeper into our real problems.
Aguero will cost us lots of cash. Would I like to have him here? Yes. Is he our primary objective? No.
I want us to fix our defensive problems and not buy frickin Aguero for almost 50m. Our biggest gap, hole and issue is our full-backs and defensive line and not our attacking line. With Quag, Ale, Matri, Toni I am more than okay if you ask me.
Will we solve our problems if we buy Aguero? No. But we will solve a very big problem if we purchase world class full-backs.
I can digest having Matri-Quag or Ale as our starting 11 with good full-backs, but I can't digest having Aguero in the team with Grygera/Motta/Grosso/Barzagli at the back.
If we purchase him be it 45m a bit more or less be sure there's no way we can purchase a world class LB/RB. And again we will be conceding goals for fun next year.

Gil Marin is quoted by several sites saying he spoke with Perez and that a pact was made between Real and Atletico that no bid would be made for him. Marotta needs to fork out the cash on this one, this guy has performed exceptionally in europe in a middle table team. 40M is not too much relative to 30M for Sanchez who is not nearly as experienced.

I agree with that but we have to face facts. Marotta is not interested in world class fullbacks. Its literally one of his last priorities IMO. Getting Lichtsteiner and a free Ziegler will improve our defense somewhat combined with a goal machine in Aguero up front and a better midfield seems like the second best solution. We would certainly win more games. Conte will realise however at some point, that his 4-2-4 is going to require much better fullbacks and given that Ziegler will probably not be a revelation next season it would be hard to see Marotta not taking that position more seriously.
Let's first sign this guy and at that moment we can think about higher objectives and sign better FBs. People shouldn't forget that even WC fullbacks wouldn't like to be on the defense for at least 75 minutes each game, and they would also like to see that the team has ambitions. Quag, Matri, Toni and DP might do it for next year alone, but it would be a tough fight for the 3rd place and we have a gap for the year afterwards. Get Aguero, let him gel with this team and I expect next year's performance to be scudetto material.

yet, if you have horribad fullbacks, like we had last year, offcourse the team is unbalanced at the back and loses
decent fullbacks and a world class striker win you plenty of games, like milan proved last season

It's true that fullbacks are not required to be spectacular players, they can be ordinary footballers as long as they are tactically sound, have stamina, a half decent cross and have defensive awareness. It's a very important position in that respect. Those are certainly game winners listed, it's good to have a few of them regardless of position, it's just that there are far more solid fullbacks around than there are Maicon's and Dani Alves'.
