Alright reading through this thread again, there's already been some signs of this move not happening.

Marotta saying: we will sign a player in same level as Aguero,Benz,Tevez... and these clubs ask for mad money.

Sorry to be a party pooper but this is another Dzeko transfer.. Marotta waiting to get the price down, and oil city or chelski or even Madrid coming in with a 10mil difference in offer and hijack the deal.

I think the money is there, the only thing that I see as a potential deal killer is no european cups to play in...but according to sources earlier that too was downplayed and Kun wouldn't take that into account.

ask nico/melo, can't remember whom it was...as far as the money goes....we need to seal the fucking deal NOW before anyone else decides to chime in. We have the money, buy him, settle it asap.

as far as titles...we can offer him that if we continue to bring the right players...we need at least 2 seasons before we can get a title and he is only 22 and has well over a decade to win titles. He needs to see a project heading in the right direction...

I think last year was different (according to Marotta)...this year he has blatantly said we are spending and going after big names. That wasn't the case last year.
