Atletico: Aguero not for sale

Atletico Madrid have insisted that Sergio Aguero is not for sale after being linked with a switch to Juventus.

The Italian media has gone into overdrive with stories that Aguero will be signed by the Turin giants after his representatives held talks with the Italians yesterday.

“We are not in negotiations with anyone for Aguero,” stated Atletico official Miguel Angel Gil. “Sergio Aguero is not for sale.”

A report in the Mundo Deportivo newspaper also claims that Juventus made no enquiries about the forward yesterday.

It is possible that the topic of discussion was actually Momo Sissoko, a player who is represented by the same agency as Aguero.

The Mali midfielder is expected to leave the Turin giants at the end of the season after a problematic past campaign.

Juventus are hoping to sign a couple of high profile players this summer in an effort to revive their fortunes.

Juve, who may fail to qualify for Europe, will reportedly replace Gigi Del Neri with Siena boss Antonio Conte at the end of this season.

Thinly veiled "you don't pay the release clause, you don't get Agüero". He can still be sold, close wouldn't be necessary, but people shouldn't really expect him.

let the games.............begin.

FORZA JUVE AND MAROTTA'S NON-EXISTENT NEGOTIATION SKILLS!
After this season, Marrotta should be sacked IMO. But this type of deal, it involves less negotiation skills and more cash, if you don't have 40million euros you can't even begin negotiations. Why the papers are making B.S up and linking and saying were trying to sign Aguero i don't know and it's pretty sad, must not have a lot to do. If the owners Elkann or Agenlli invest their own personal money i.e. like Moratti, Berlusconi and the people at Man shitty then they can easily sign a world class like Aguero, but knowing there not true fans like the former the two and their father and grandfather respectively they won't, otherwise the club wouldn't be in the mess that is in ATM and has been since farsopoli:sergio:

I don't think we'll spend half of our budget, supposedly, on just one player whom we don't necessarily need more than an LB, RB and LM.
We defiantly need a world class second striker SS i.e. Aguero/Sanchez/Neymar or a world class ATM like Pastore depending on what type of formation/system we play, either way we need one of these world class players IMO.

Its better for us if we are getting any player to have them before the training sessions for the new season start, maybe at max by the end of July, any late mercato signings will not make it easy for the new coach and will not do us any good, anyway, I'd rather make one late signing just not expose what my team will be and how competitive we will be.

This thread makes me laugh. We are not Inter or Milan, we can't bring players like Aguero here, we don't have the ability anymore. We are more on the level of Roma, now can you see Aguero agreeing to join them?
