Do you really think we're getting Agüero? Even if barca get Sanchez, Chelsea get Falcao and City get whomever?
All the statements from Atletico officials say that they're letting him go. It's obvious that he wants out of Atletico. We're indeed negotiating with Aguero and Atletico, as confirmed by all the parties (including Marotta), so if there is no other place to go, we will buy him.

Even if we don't meet Atletico's asking price? I am extremely doubtful we will pay that much for any player, especially after buying ALL the loaned players.

do they have Aguero to put him in the center and Messi on the right? :D
They have Villa for the center and it doesn't really make a difference if Pedro plays on the left or on the right. It's not like they made all those rotations just to accommodate Pedro in the team.
To me it looks more like they made all the rotations just so Messi would play in the center and they are looking for players who can play on the right (Sanchez, Rossi) just so they could keep Messi in the center.

That is most probably true. That would mean they wouldn't be too interested in Aguero though, which from their perspective imo is a mistake. I don't understand why they're so intent on playing him in the center, he's done fairly well on the right as well.

That says nothing though.
We are going to try to get him, that has been confirmed. It says more that 'hes great we are evaluating targets atm' etc. that passes for DDTS during transfer season.

It's confirmed legitimate contact as far as I'm concerned, we may try and fail but we will definitely try and until Aguero signs for a club that's the closet anybody will get short of a medical.

their current formation is a function of the payers they currently have, that's all. - Villa-Messi-Pedro works better for them than Villa-Pedro-Messi ... that doesn't mean it would be the same if they had Aguero, though.

Also, with Barca one cannot just restrict players to certain zones of the field considering their 3 attacking players, especially Messi, move so freely all over the field, making them even harder to mark and close down.

This whole Messi on the right or center stuff is just for the starting line-ups lists ... in reallity, once the game starts, Messi has as free a role as anyone in football.

Frankly i don't see barça tryin to get Aguero, they still have Villa who's not goin anywhere soon. i see them getting sanchez and rotating him and Pedro and villa for 2 places they have in attack with Messi, another plausible scenarion if they get Fabregas is to play Iniesta in a more advanced role where he'll take Pedro place like he did several time.
We have a legitimate chance to land Aguero but we should move quickly like Alen said because if any other team enter the race we're doomed :xfinger:

Villa-Messi-Pedro works better for them than Villa-Pedro-Messi
But does it work better than Pedro-Villa-Messi?

That's my point. If Messi can give the most on the right, and we know that Villa is the best in the center, why do you replace them like that? Just so Pedro could play on the right or because they think that Messi works better in the center (or maybe even Messi himself wants that)?

I think he is not completely interested in us because of us not playing in the cl.
He will not go to Barca they just want to pressure Udinese to accept the deal for Alexis. Shitty is not interesting in him so far. Chelski will go for Hulk and Falcao. Real can't buy him. So what teams are left who can afford him. I think we have to pay him extra money for the fact he is missing CL, and he probably wants some kind of promises we will buy other great players like Vidal. I think we can better sign Vidal first so we maybe can convince Kun to sign for us. If this dream will come true it won't be official before 1 august.

and Aguero doesn't fit Barca at all. Cos he demands/likes to have some kind of freeroll behind a striker and he wants to be the guy. Something they really don't like in Barca of course he would love to play there but he isn't really fitting there because of his character. The Argentine Nt squad has the same problem. Tevez and Aguero wants to be the big man. And because of that Messi fails also for the team.

In our team he would be the big star :agree:

I am not sure I see the point of reshuffling their current front 3 and wondering which version is better ... the question, after all, is how useful would bringing Aguero be to them with presumably Aguero taking over Pedro's role on the field - more or less, can Aguero do Pedro's job better or not than Pedro?

again, the formation is a function of the players they have, not of the ones they don't have ... ultimately, however, I don't think "rigid" formations up-front, with players strictly sticking to a given zone, properly describe Barca's approach to football.

I wouldnt say, that barca is playing with wingers and that they need them. Alves is kinda having all the right side. And there is nothing on the left but a bit of iniesta or pedro. Barca formation is asymetrical and maybe even non-existent :D

As Vidal is Chilean, presently his signing would mean we couldn't grab Aguero...but I read some words of Galliani recently suggesting that the non-eu rule could be changed this summer. any truth to that???
