Sounds good, Mellberg doesnt have a short term use with Cannavaro here (before Knezevic and andrade were deadweight, so unchallenged 3rd CB), and also have little to NO use as a long term CB due to his age, so better 3rd CB is between Legro and a good young defender, like Tasci here.

Mellberg said he wanted to stay so the only way Tasci can join us this season is if Olof accepts a move. If so, Tasci will arrive next season if all goes well.

Hmm.. he's really young and sounds promising, although I have to say I've not seen much of him.

Wiki: Serdar Tasci (Turkish: Serdar Taşçı[1], born 24 April 1987 in Esslingen) is a German football defender who plays for VfB Stuttgart and the German national team. Tasci usually plays as a centre back or right back.

They wouldn't put that up if all he ever played for Stuttgart were centre back surely. Any Bundesliga experts around?
