Milan And Juve Fight It Out For Ivanovic

There is a straight battle between Milan and Juventus for the signature of Lokomotiv Moscow ace Branislav Ivanovic, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The 23-year-old Serbian is rated as one of the best young defenders in Europe and he was outstanding during this summer’s Under-21 European Championships in Holland.

Juventus have tracked Ivanovic for a number of months now and were believed to be in pole position to sign the star.

Recently it was revealed that Inter had entered the race to sign the youngster, however their interest has cooled in the last couple of weeks.

Ivanovic’s club will accept any bid of €13m or above, but at the moment Juventus are only prepared to offer €10m. This has alerted Milan, who are looking for some young reinforcements into an ageing backline.

The Rossoneri’s first choice back-four currently includes Marek Janukulovshi (30), Kakhaber Kaladze (29), Alessandro Nesta (31) and Massimo Oddo (31). Other regular starters include the 37-year-old Cafu, 39-year-old Paolo Maldini and 35-year-old Giuseppe Favalli.

Milan are prepared to offer the unsettled Dario Simic in any deal to bring Ivanovic to the club, however it remains to be seen if the player or Lokomotiv would favour this proposal.

Another player of interest to the Rossoneri is Juve’s Joanathan Zebina, and the Old Lady are said to have already turned down an approach for the fiery Frenchman.

I think that Branislav Ivanovic would be ideal as a Right-back. Since he is often attacking and if he were playing as a CB he would leave a whole if they opponents would counter attack.

PS: Secco please bring in Ivanovic & Pasqual, that way our defense would be young but at the same time efficient.

if we're buying him for 13M or however much, i would hope that we would play him in his best position, which i think is supposed to be CB. it makes no sense paying all of that to buy hin to underperform at RB.

Dario Šimić said that of all the offers he's got, the best one is Lokomotiv Moscow's offer and that's the team where he'll probably continue his career in January.

Milan are one of the teams interested in Ivanović. I hope Šimić is not part of a deal that will take Ivanović to Milan. :(

Milan also said that they want Ivanović as replacement for Cafu.If we really want Ivanović we should sign him now and not wait untill the end of the season when we could end up loosing him easly.

Chelsea Cash To Lure Ivanovic :wallbang:

Branislav Ivanovic is being trailed by some top teams, but may choose Chelsea according to his agent...

Chelsea are reportedly hot on the trail of 23-year-old Lokomotiv Moscow defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serbia captain is set to leave the Russian side, who are without a manager, with the Milan giants also vying for his signature.

His agent Marco Naletilic claimed that the player will be seeking a substantial pay-day.

"He is followed closely by Chelsea - and money talks," said Naletilic.

"Inter and AC Milan can compete financially but I think he will end up in England."

Its almost like we cant compete with anyone for a player nowdays.
we're always heavily linked to them but then they just gradually fade away & end up at Barca or Chelsea..

Milito n now maybe Ivanovic have treated us like an ugly first girlfriend with a hot friend, as in they say how great we are hoping to be lured by a big club which will pay them heaps

We cant compete with Milan or Chelsea, he has become way too expensive!!
Do you believe Chelsea are truly interested or just a ploy from his agent to drive his price up? I thought he was serie A bound, whether it be Inter, Milan or us but as u were sayin our market power is pretty fuckn low
