wat about Zapata and Marquez...a lot of specualtion about them as well
zapata wont leave till the summer at the very earliest unless we pay alot more than we need to. as for marquez its possible, but i dont think we will be selling tiago in january, with lokomotiv the negotiations seems uncomplicated and is our best option come january.

i'm more afraid of chelsea's interest. most players who know their football would pick juve over inter, and milan never buy the players that the media say they want, and they rarely enter bidding wars with other clubs.

Russian star Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has admitted he would love to play for Chelsea but concedes he would not make the starting XI.

The talented midfield playmaker impressed in both games against England in the recent Euro 2008 qualifiers and was on the scoresheet at the weekend in the ill-fated defeat to Israel.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has always been keen on recruiting from his homeland, but during his four-year stay the club have signed just one Russian in the shape of Alexei Smertin.

Now The Blues are tracking Lokomotiv Moscow ace Bilyaletdinov, along with team-mate Branislav Ivanovic.

Bilyaletdinov admits he is pleased to here about Chelsea's interest.

    Interest

Chelsea coach Avram Grant is understood to have attended Lokomotiv's clash with Tom a couple of weeks ago - a decision which Bilyaletdinov found curious.

"I heard that Grant visited our game against Tom to watch me and Ivanovic," Bilyaletdinov said in his recent blog for Russian daily Sport.

"I must say that I was surprised with this choice as our derby with Spartak would have been much more interesting."

Bilyaletdinov admits he would love to play for a club like Chelsea.

"It is clear that each football player dreams of playing for a club like Chelsea," he continued.

"But I don't think that we have such players in Russia that could go to London and take a first-team place immediately.

"I think that if Chelsea did buy me now, I would have to go to the store and buy many blue trousers to sit on the bench with!"

Here is Bilyaletdinov in action right in front of me a couple of weeks ago.

Good laugh, because we were abusing him the whole game as well.

They will reject that offer for sure ( if there is an offer in 1st place  ). It seems too small for their apetite.

I'll repeat again how Inter and Milan CAN NOT buy Ivanovic in January because they can not buy any more non-EU players outside Italy this season.

Inter - they bought and registered Nelson Rivas from River Plate and he already played 2 matches in serie A and 3 in Champions League. Inter can not buy a non-EU player from a non-Italian team until June 2008

Milan - Actually, they are free to buy Ivanovic but there is 0% chance that it will happen. In order to buy and register Ivanovic for this season they will have to go without Pato for the season.
Pato is the only non-EU they bought this year but since he wasn't playing due to his age, he wasn't registered. They will for sure register him in January and if they do that they won't be able to buy another non-EU outside Italy.

I don't know what's the situation with the english teams but in order to be eligible for a work permit :
    * A player must have played for his country in at least 75% of its competitive 'A’ team matches he was available for selection, during the two years preceding the date of the application; and,
    * The player’s country must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA world rankings when averaged over the two years preceding the date of the application.

Ivanovic played only 5 competitive matches (8 matches overall) and it's less than 40% of the competitive matches Serbia played in last 2 years.

I know the English can find a loop hole and get Ivanovic, like they did with Alex, but if this rule is followed then he can't be bought by an English team in January.

When asked about Ivanovic and Juve dropping the race to get him since 3-4 clubs want him and go for Lugano instead, Moggi on TV said..."Ivanovic all the way, he's the next Stam".

Stam seemed like a bigger and tougher guy but if Moggi says we should buy him...

AC MILAN, Ivanovic objective for the defence

For Lokomotiv Moscow's Serbian Branislav Ivanovic, class 1984, Milan seem to be ahead of competitors, and could insert in the trade also Dario Simic. The problem is Ivanovic status (that would be also usable in Champions): the serbian players are considered non-EU citizen and Milan have still used their place for Alexandre Pato.

To park the player in Italy for engage then in June as communitarian would be the better strategy. Meanwhile Liverpool ask Kaladze that, with a possible arrival of the serbian under 21captain, would find always less place in the 11th of Carlo Ancelotti.

Corriere dello sport - IVANOVIC, Is still Milan-Juve

It is still started to Moscow the meeting between Milan and Juventus. Rossoneri, in fact, during last hours, have inserted in the trade, already started, that should bring the Serbian defender of Lokomotiv to Torino. The russian club value the player about 13 millions, and Juve for the moment have offered 10.

Galliano offensive, that have inserted in the trade Simic, complicate things to bianconeri: the offer of Croatian defender to Russian could be read as a signal for Corso Ferraris club that, has for the moment rejected an exchange with Zebina, who seems to be the real Milan objective.
