Him on the right and Barzagli in the center are the primary objectives of Juve if we believe what the papers say.

I'd be happy with that.
I would prefer to set him into the Center Back and keep Grygera or Zebina on the right.

Bought Ivanovic for The Right side and Barzagli in the middle isn't that wise , since we got a surplus player on that Position ( RB )

Reconsider Sucko :faq2:

Dmittry Torbinskiy (22), one of the heroes who helped Russian National team to win against England last week, will leave Spartak Moscow to move at Lokomotiv, the most hatred team by Spartak supporters."

Haha, this that player^ a defender, if so they might be lining up a replacment.
No, he is not a defender, he is a attacking midfielder. And he will move at Lokomotiv at the end of the season. For sure.

I cant believe that some people here suggest using him as a RB

Not necessarily, 14m euros is a lot for a player we want as a centre-back but IMO he looks more like a right back, Secco might have paid too much!

although you could argue that he has faith in the scouts and thats the man he wants so he will pay up for hi within reason.
14 million Euros is indeed a lot of money, but if the scouts are right about Ivanovic, it will be a damn good investment, believe me. I still think we should have gotten Vidic when we had the chance. Lets not miss out on Ivanovic.

is he that good ? In regards to soft skills as well like leadership and confidence ?
Well, I've seen him only a couple times, but he really is the complete defender. I don't know if he has any weakness; certainly not confidence or even ball skills at the back. Maybe his passing is suspect but I cannot really comment on that much because passing from the back is something you have to observe quite a lot to pass judgement, just like many facets.

uhh, cant wait january, when Almiron and Tiago will be completly adapted to the team, when camo, markioni will be in good form, when our defence will be a lot stronger and finally - when we could sold bomsoung. :toast: don`t see any use of him if chiellini and grygera could be used as CB as well. he is not better than Legrottaglie. hope that Secco has started talks with few teams about him. if no one takes him (as usual) try to rent him. please :smoke:

uhmmm has everyone forgotten Thuram? He was a rightback and when moved as a CB he became the best in the world. Ivanovic plays both positions equally well.
Man City should F*ck off, they have 2 great defenders, Richards and Corluka.

So Milito is getting accustomed to the circus environment so quickly.

Ivanovic capture is getting close hmmm... :D
not if inter wants him too...

Inter Enter Ivanovic Race

Inter seem set to hijack Juventus’ bid for Lokomotiv Moscow defender Branislav Ivanovic, according to reports in the Italian press.

The highly-rated Serbian centre back, who was one of the stars of the European Under-21 Championships in Holland during the summer, has been linked with Juventus for several weeks now and had been expected to make the move to Turin in January.

However it has been revealed that yesterday, Giorgio De Giorgis, agent of Inter Coach Roberto Mancini, made contact with Ivanovic’s club and told of his client’s interest in the player.

Ivanovic has a termination clause in his contract of €15m, which means that if a big club puts in a bid of this figure, then Lokomotiv are powerless to stop him from leaving.

Inter President Massimo Moratti would have no problem forking out this kind of cash, but it remains to be seen how Juventus will feel about their rivals attempts to scupper their own deal for the player.

The Bianconeri have made the signing of a centre-back in the January transfer window as a priority. Jorge Andrade broke his kneecap during the week four match with Roma and will miss most of the season, meaning that Juve are very short of numbers at the back.

A host of stoppers have been linked with the club, including Tomas Ujfalusi, Diego Lugano, Luisao and even Luigi Di Biagio

why the hell inter want him, why cant they go after some italian FGS...:(
