I'm with you Gep. In my opinion from a financial stand point this makes no sense. A 28 year old player for15mwhen he isnt even that good? Also if we want to be focusing on younger players why not just get Evra on a free and then focus on getting a younger lb

I think that's why we are going for him, since he can play as a LW or LB in 4-3-3, and as a LWB in 3-5-2... not many players suit so many positions in so many formations...
That's very true, but it's less of a jack-of-all-trades story than it is a master-of-none to me.

Let's say Asamoah is gone to the Africa Cup an we'll play 4-3-3 in the CL 1/8 or 1/4 finals. I wouldn't want to start Lulic against any winger we'll meet there...

We'll never pay 15m for him but every euro spent on him is one lost imo. If we want a cheap option/backup option as a LWB or LB, we might as well try to persuade Evra.

why would you want Lulic against any winger in the CL? im confident he would do a good job and with the help of the winger that tracks back, he can stop any RW except Robben or Bale, which only a few could stop. Lulic defends better than many give him credit for, and he is also decent (for a fullback) in attack. a very balanced offense/defense fullback he would be. as a LW he can be a super sub when we need to defend a score and he could come in to shut down the left side together with the LB...

but 15M is too much and if we can get him for Quag and/or Peluso without paying anything extra i would jump on it...

thats why i said Quagliarella + Peluso with no money included :D. while we are at it, give Isla's half for Candreva's and agree with Udinese to buy the other half next season :donedeal:

Juve-Lulic talks stall?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus’ negotiations with Lazio over a move for Senad Lulic have reportedly stalled over disparity in the player’s valuation.

The Old Lady has been reported in recent months as in continuing talks with the Aquile to sign the full-back this summer, with speculation that the capital club are open to a player-plus-cash arrangement.

However, Il Tempo are running the line today that talks between the two clubs is proving difficult, with too much of a difference in their respective valuations.

Where Juventus are apparently pushing for Lulic’s price to be set at €8m, Lazio are seen as asking for more than double that at €18m, or a payment of €12m and Mauricio Isla offered in part-exchange.

The disparity is seen as having stalled negotiations enough to re-open the possibility of apparent interest in the Bosnia-Herzegovina international from the likes of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund.

€18m? :howler:

Hernanes went for 17M, for Lulic they could get 10M max. give them Quag and Peluso and seal the deal. Isla<>Candreva should be done too...

yeah its that easy. the difference is they have showed some interest in Quag and Isla, while Padoin no-one wants. the question is, t how much they value Candrevas half and Lulic (i dont believe they ask for 18M)
